Just looking for some advice. I’m going in to see my SA on Monday as I’m looking to purchase a wallet. My wish expires at the end of this month and I wondered if I should casually mention it? Or if perhaps it’s not the done thing. I can’t help but hope I get my wish before the year is out- but I know stock is low and am realistic enough to acknowledge it may not happen.

You should definitely mention it and update the wish before it expires!

I'm happy to share that I was offered one of my dream bags: K25, bleu brume, ghw.:yahoo:
When the SA shared the news, I could not believe it, specially taking into consideration that stock seems disheartening low.
But this is one of the reasons why Hermès world is so fascinating: good things happen when you least expect them to.
wow what a combo! Congratulations. Would you mind sharing when you made the wish? Is it your first bag?

Hi everyone, my guy bestfriend went to the NBs store last last week for me. He got a mini E on his first visit and made a wishlist. However, he emailed the SA (talking about some items i am looking for - non bags) but he never got to reply. Is that normal? How long does it usually take for SA to reply? Thanks everyone x

Got offered my first ever Hermes quota bag today after a patient 7 months of waiting from NBS- K25 Black Epsom GHW, such a classic to start my collection! I casually mentioned to my SA that my wishlist was ending next week and would like to pop in to pick up some Christmas gift as well as renew my wishlist. I went into store and she said unfortunately my wish had not come through but there was a K25 black epsom if I wanted it. Who could say no?! got a rodeo pegase to go with it as well

Hi there,

I'd like to start building my Hermes collection of bags, shoes etc and wonder which boutique would be the best. I'd heard the square footage of the store makes a difference as to how many Birkin/Kelly/Constance's they receive.

I've had great experiences with the Royal Exchange store but it's very small - so was thinking perhaps I should switch to Sloane Square?

Any thoughts and experiences welcome!

Thank you

It really depends if you have a list of items you want then you’re done or if you want to build a long term relationship. If you want to buy RTW RE doesn’t have it. Bigger stores have more stock, but they have more clients and you’ll be competing with the big spenders. Spending a lot will speed up the process I’m sure, but I suspect there are many new clients who are spending a lot to get noticed and get the items they want. Stock is scarce at the moment too.

if you want the very popular items like k25/b25 you’ll have a long wait too.

my advice is find a store you like and SA you click with and enjoy the journey.

Was thinking the same thing re the larger stores having more stock, but then you're also competing against more people.

I'm not in the rush to to get a the bags on my Hermes wish list but have items that I'd like to own i.e. scarfs, agenda covers, shoes etc so don't mind waiting.

I am at the stage now that I'll go wherever I can get served soonest and whichever has what I'm looking for. But then I'm not after a B/K/C. Who serves me and where, is not that important.

I have known friends get their first K or B at RE after building a happy relationship there. Loyalty is important in a small place. Obviously, there aren't the many depts, but if you're not going to wear RTW or use homeware that can be good for you. Buy what they do have and ask for what you want.

In some ways it's the square footage because there's a smaller stock room but in the main there are less customers. What's good about RE is there are less tourists and VIPs to 'compete' with.

At Cadogan Sq, although you don't have the craziness that sometimes happens at Harrods or NBS, you will still have many very wealthy locals, tourists, personal shoppers etc.
