Hermes boutiques in London

Hi there,

I'd like to start building my Hermes collection of bags, shoes etc and wonder which boutique would be the best. I'd heard the square footage of the store makes a difference as to how many Birkin/Kelly/Constance's they receive.

I've had great experiences with the Royal Exchange store but it's very small - so was thinking perhaps I should switch to Sloane Square?

Any thoughts and experiences welcome!

Thank you

If you, like many others have had great experiences with RE, why would you want to go elsewhere!
At least give the staff there a chance to source items for you.
If they are unable to do so and you know you would have been more successful elsewhere, then go to an alternative store.
Regardless of Covid, advance notice has always been sensible to avoid a wasted journey.
We all know that stocks everywhere have been difficult whatever the size of the store. That has got to improve and normal service will be resumed.

I'm happy to share that I was offered one of my dream bags: K25, bleu brume, ghw.:yahoo:
When the SA shared the news, I could not believe it, specially taking into consideration that stock seems disheartening low.
But this is one of the reasons why Hermès world is so fascinating: good things happen when you least expect them to.
May i know what is the current price of K25? Thank you.

Hello all, I am fairly new to H and would really appreciate your opinions and thoughts on what I should do next.

My boyfriend and I were in London last September (2020) and I met a nice SA at the NBS and made a wish for a B25. I then followed up with a couple of emails here and there and by December 2020 I was able to get a B25 in Gris Asphalte with PHW (In between that time I was also offered a K28 Sellier Epsom GHW as an alternative but responded too late and this was offered to someone else). I put it all down to the fact that there was a lack of tourists in London.

I had to pick up the bag from another SA as my SA was not available and left her a sweet note and box of chocolates expressing my gratitude as at this point I had no purchase history at all with H.

I then decide to add a wallet to my collection to try and build my profile. I am not a big spender by any means so I need to plan and slowly add to my collection. My SA had placed the order for me and I had to wait a few months for the wallet to come in but again had to collect this from another SA as my SA was on annual leave. (Another mishap happened where the wallet that was reserved for me was sold to someone else by accident and they had to ship another one from Europe).

Anyway, that was back in July and I have emailed my SA a few times to just keep in contact but unfortunately they have not responded to my last few emails. I really don't know what to do, they are in a fairly senior position at the store so this would really help me in terms of allocations but at the same time, I feel like it's quite clear they doesn't want to serve me anymore so should I just try and move onto another SA?

I emailed them recently as I wanted to get a Kelly ring for myself for my birthday and to also make a new wish as I know my wish will expire in the next couple of weeks.

I would really appreciate your help.

Many of the SA's are busy as you can imagine & don't always respond as quickly as you would
expect them to.
Why not make a trip to the boutique & perhaps look to connect with another SA that will
be more to your liking but this is a busy time & likely only to get busier as we get closer to the
holidays.. Just don't have unrealistic expectations, IYKWIM..
Clients are all clamoring for their wishlist etc

I completely understand! I emailed them back in July and then a few times here and there and haven't had a response. I really hope I just haven't offended her.

It isn't a case of more to my liking, as I would really like to stick with this SA but at the same time I want to read between the lines if she is actually purposely ignoring me as like I say they are quite senior at the store and I am by no means a VIP or a big spender.

I also don't expect my wish to be fulfilled this time round as it will expire in the next couple of weeks so I don't really have any expectations.

I would just really like to build a relationship with an SA but at the same time happy to just have my B25 as I already feel super lucky to have gotten that piece in the first place.

Taking all you have said into consideration, why would you think you have offended her?
In spite of you not having the response you expect, you are a client & as much as you would
prefer to continue with this SA, it doesn't seem to be working for reasons unknown to you
At any other time of the year I might suggest going into the boutique & approaching her
but I don't think this is the right time.
As much as you would like to read between the lines there just may be nothing more than this.
Your SA is just busy & perhaps it was an oversight on her part not to respond. I would not
take this personally because you don't know if you have done anything that would have offended her.
Many SA's just don't have the time to answer every e-mail especially if the item is not in inventory
If you are happy with your B25 for the time being, why not just stop by & wish her
"Happy Holidays"

May I ask how you got offered a Kelly (before the B25) if your wish was for a Birkin?

To be honest, I really don't know, may be they found me annoying with the emails. I honestly don't know as at first they were very responsive with emails and then all of a sudden nothing. I can think of at least 3-4 emails over the last 4 months which haven't had a response.

That is exactly what I tried to do, I popped in a few weeks ago as I was in the city picking up a chanel bag and just wanted to say Hi. I then followed up with an email saying that I popped in and just general chit chat but haven't had a response.

Maybe I am overthinking it but at the same time don't want to keep contacting her if she's not really interested.

So I made my wish in September and then followed up with an email just to keep the communication going. I emailed a couple of times saying that I would really love a bag for my birthday (January) and at that time she said she didn't have any Birkins available but would the Kelly work? Anyway, my email phone notifications weren't working and I didn't see the email until much later. I then tried calling the store to ask about the bag but they said as this was offered as an 'alternative' the bag wasn't held for me as I took too long to respond. Two weeks later I got the email for the B25.

Perhaps you are overthinking this..
Under the circumstances, I don't think I would contact her anymore. If you have a reason to go to the
boutique just go.
For the time being the Hermes ball is in her court. Let's see if she returns the serve

SAs don’t want emails for general chitchat. “Building a relationship” is a nice phrase for shopping and spending money (whilst naturally getting to know each other by your preferences of what you try on, buy, decline, etc) it doesn’t mean just stopping in to say hi or sending emails about life. If there are 3-4 emails unanswered in 4 months, I’m guessing there were some emails that were also answered and this seems like a lot from one customer (especially a newer customer). SAs barely have enough time to respond to any of their clients about product inquiries let alone, non sales related emails. Keep it short and business based (ie ”I plan to stop by Tuesday afternoon and hope to try on the blah blah kelly ring if youve got one in stock. See you soon!”) and you’ll likely have more luck. Or better yet, make all of your communication in person for a while (while purchasing!) and then ease back into emailing, but again, only to request items to be put aside for you until your planned shopping trip on day xyz.
