I am at the stage now that I'll go wherever I can get served soonest and whichever has what I'm looking for. But then I'm not after a B/K/C. Who serves me and where, is not that important.

I have known friends get their first K or B at RE after building a happy relationship there. Loyalty is important in a small place. Obviously, there aren't the many depts, but if you're not going to wear RTW or use homeware that can be good for you. Buy what they do have and ask for what you want.

In some ways it's the square footage because there's a smaller stock room but in the main there are less customers. What's good about RE is there are less tourists and VIPs to 'compete' with.

At Cadogan Sq, although you don't have the craziness that sometimes happens at Harrods or NBS, you will still have many very wealthy locals, tourists, personal shoppers etc.

Thank you!

I'm not too fussed about RTW but may look to buy homeware (I assume RE might be able to order the pieces in?)

Just on your friends getting K or B - was this at the RE store?
I did see another SA unbox a B25 for someone at the RE store which was promising!

Yes, they can order it in (or at least they used to be able to).
Yes, RE

Hi there,

I'd like to start building my Hermes collection of bags, shoes etc and wonder which boutique would be the best. I'd heard the square footage of the store makes a difference as to how many Birkin/Kelly/Constance's they receive.

I've had great experiences with the Royal Exchange store but it's very small - so was thinking perhaps I should switch to Sloane Square?

Any thoughts and experiences welcome!

Thank you
If you are looking for shoes (you mentioned that RTW isn't your cup of tea) I would highly recommend Hermes Femme on the first floor of Harrods. The atmosphere is very chilled and the service is amazing. You can place your wishlist there with a SA. It will be a part of Harrods wishlist but if you are looking for "unpopular" sizes such as B35 or 40 or bigger Kelly retournes the chances are pretty decent. The SAs are very knowledgeable in leathers and colors so it is just a pleasure to chat to them all things Hermes even if you are not buying anything.

That's a great idea - thank you!

Hi l would like so advice ,l placed my wish for Birkin 25 or 30 at Sloans street early September,l am Open to multiple colours and leathers ,l been to boutique on few different occasions since ,but l struggle to make connection with one Sa ,each Time l get different Sa even if l pre book appointment with specific Sa ,will l still stand a chance getting bag offer without connection to one Sa ?

There are lots of SA rotating shifts and days recently.

If a bag that fits your Wishlist comes in, they'll look how many others also have requested the same/similar, then compare your spending-profile with others. The highest spender will usually win. Of course they like spending to be across the board too.

If you've had a great experience at RE I'd personally stick with that store.
I do know someone who got her wish of a Black Birkin 25 GHW there without a massive spend and within a few months.
Obviously it could be luck but I personally chose to stick with a store where I get a good experience with the staff even though the inventory is lower than say Bond St.
I feel like an individual there, they know my taste, that I'm not a big spender but they do go that extra mile for me.

I will definitely give my wish list a casual mention. But like you I’m trying to be very realistic. I think that I may be getting another Chanel Classic Flap for Christmas and sadly not my dream Kelly! I would love to receive that magical email with an offer- it would be my first. But patience is key with Hermes!
i also will get the CF hopefully next week
to me nowadays it's much easier to get chanel compared to hermes
i only ask for one H bag and it has been nearly 12 months
i don't have much hope i will get it before end of this year

That's how I felt - an individual and the SA really went the extra mile.

Now I need to figure out what I'd like to add to my wish!
