Admittedly I haven’t seen that, but if you go to french website an search calvi or Bastia, it’s one of the first options that comes up! I think it takes 6-8 weeks to deliver?Thank you @louise_elouise I had no idea. Are there are any examples on the forum ?
It will no longer be possible to order via the French website- only EU countries can do that. But looking forward to my next trip to Paris. I fear it may be a while ...Admittedly I haven’t seen that, but if you go to french website an search calvi or Bastia, it’s one of the first options that comes up! Thanks, hadn’t seen this. Still seems odd to me - I could order from other Euro brand sites if I wanted to so why not H? Wonder if a trade deal being agreed since this was posted changes things. Please refer here.![]()
Same !!!!Oh no... was planning to get SO Calvi from French H.com

No it hasn't as of yet, I checked yesterday before I placed the order on the UK site for the item I tried to order from the French website last week that got cancelled immediately. Thanks, hadn’t seen this. Perhaps when the stores open again you may be able to order through the store, I recall seeing some posts here that said you could. Reach out to your SA if you have a contact they may be able to advise.Same !!!!
Ugh! Brexit![]()
I am wondering how the tax/VAT will work if they ever decide to start allowing people from the UK to order from the French website. I am not entirely clear if the zero quota and zero tariff agreement applies to businesses/trade only. VAT and overseas goods sold directly to customers in the UK
How sellers deal with VAT for goods from overseas that they sell direct to customers in the UK.www.gov.uk
There is a section on:
“Consignments valued at more than £135
Normal VAT and customs rules will apply on importation of the goods into Great Britain from outside the UK or into Northern Ireland from outside the UK and EU.”
It’s unclear to me whether we will need to pay any VAT on top of the prices in the French website. This makes me a bit hesitant to try buying from the French website but it may just be me being a bit thick.
Does sound like it from what I have read. That wipes out the lower Euro pricing benefit completely.I‘d expect it to be the same as importing from outside the EU prior to Brexit, you’d pay the VAT and then the handling charge from the postal carrier on top...
But would we need to pay EU vat? It’s technically leaving the EU after allI‘d expect it to be the same as importing from outside the EU prior to Brexit, you’d pay the VAT and then the handling charge from the postal carrier on top...
