You would pay UK VAT on the value of the goods that are imported. But would we need to pay EU vat? It’s technically leaving the EU after all

Did you receive your Kelly yet?! I am on a waitlist for a birkin 30 at Selfridges so wondered if you had any luck? Thanks!Congratulations for your Evelyne and thanks for the sharing ! had a similar experience yesterday. I was initially looking for a Picotin 26, but none of the Selfridges, NBS or Cadogan stores had it. I've eventually bought an Evelyne 29 in Noir (but I agree, the Etoupe one is amazing !) at the Cadogan store. The Cadogan SA who served me was very polite and knowledgeable, but not as friendly as my Selfridges SA (who is amazing and gives great advice, but he wasn't there yesterday and the woman who talked to me wasn't very welcoming). I had a good impression with the NBS store, the SA was very nice. My next purchases will be some Passifolia tableware I think, so I'll try there.
I have also submitted a Kelly 28 wish in September (at the Selfridges store), I keep my fingers crossed, but with new lockdown threats, I think it will be more for 2021 (if I'm offered something).
If you have a SA he/she will assist remotely. My SA is helping me with order remotely. He would pop into store 2 to 3 times a week.Hey guys, anyone know if remote shopping is still available during national lockdown?
My bad. My SA just texted that they are to follow government rules of staying home.If you have a SA he/she will assist remotely. My SA is helping me with order remotely. He would pop into store 2 to 3 times a week.
Really even in a lockdown this strict? I would have thought it's all cancelledIf you have a SA he/she will assist remotely. My SA is helping me with order remotely. He would pop into store 2 to 3 times a week.
May I ask which boutique is your SA based in? Would have thought as the current rules still allow click & collect and deliveries the boutiques could still offer remote shopping. My bad. My SA just texted that they are to follow government rules of staying home.

I think it is 20% VAT now. I often order from Vestiaire Collective. Now every thing you ordered from another country, they will add a 20% Import Duty and VAT on top the price you see and plus the delivery. God, i cannot believe this as everything become super expensive. Now we are really ending the online shopping benefits from EU websites. For 24S, it seems that they still include everything at one price but their price is slightly higher than the UK website (I checked Dior as an example). I think probably a trip to EU might be better to benefit the price but who knows whether in the future in the airport they may send customs to check your goods and charge the duty...You would pay UK VAT on the value of the goods that are imported.
They are so niceHere are mine, each one took around 3 weeks to arrive when I ordered in October.

No it hasn't as of yet, I checked yesterday before I placed the order on the UK site for the item I tried to order from the French website last week that got cancelled immediately.
You shouldn't have to pay VAT on pre-loved (ie: 2nd hand items) there is not VAT charged on them.I think it is 20% VAT now. I often order from Vestiaire Collective. I think it was ridiculous when at the checkout they just automatically add 20% import duty (and VAT) on top as long as the item is not located in the same country no matter the condition of the item is either new or used...However, this is just one website, not every website will follow this but I did see other website tried to indicate the VAT and import duty at the checkout if shipping to the UK. I hope for Hermes it won't go too crazy but I guess now as this goes like this, it is very likely we should expect a VAT-free shopping when travelling to EU. Fingers crossed. You shouldn't have to pay VAT on pre-loved (ie: 2nd hand items) there is not VAT charged on them.
I think you will just pay import duty

I submitted my wish at Harrods back in July 2020 and it's expiring soon.. Also wondering if Harrods (or Selfridges) is a good place to submit a wish (and build purchase history) as they are just a concession instead of a stand-alone boutique. Anyone has any experience getting B/K from Harrods? Not yet, unfortunately . I'm afraid it won't be before a long time.
When did you submit your wish ?
Sometimes, I'm wondering if Selfridges was a good choice to submit a wish, as it is a small store compared to NBS (for instance).
