Did that earlier this week! I’m now ready for whatever comes our way. I think we’re heading towards a circuit breaker. Boo.

Hello, Londoners! Do all the stores require appointments now or do they still entertain walk-ins? Thank you.
No, appointments are not mandatory but without one, you are required to wait outside until a SA becomes available. No more browsing on your own. As the weather is taking a turn for the worse and with waiting times sometimes consequent, it can make for an unpleasant experience. If you still want to try your luck as a ''walk-in'', avoid lunch-times when some of the SAs take their break. I have only shopped at NBS and CP since the beginning of the pandemic and the latter is usually quieter. Have never actually had to wait outside there. Sundays are best but I am not sure whether CP still opens on that day of the week. In the past, they've done so mainly in the summer.

Thank you @mularice and @Lostinlondon ! I’m actually at NBS right now. There is a queue, 2 people ahead of me and I’m waiting for my turn with the next SA available (it is my first time). They have let 2 of us in, allowed us to sit by the men’s shoes. But you are right, no browsing unless you stand by the scarves area. Wish me luck with my first store-purchased bag if ever!

I just got home from Selfridges H. I had to wait (needed to see a particular SA) it seemed like there was a steady flow of customers.
No bag for me unfortunately! Debating on a scarf for my living room wall and bf didn’t seem 100% convinced so I’ve put it on hold and am mocking up a photoshop for him to imagine what it will look like once it’s framed etc lol

keep us updated on your bag!

Had a lovely visit to the Sloane store today and was served immediately!

The SA was very polite and we chatted for a bit but they didn’t have anything I wanted in stock (none leather goods). In the end, we got my profile and wish-list setup and couple of items ordered. Although it was pleasant, it also felt like the SA wasn’t particularly interested in building a relationship. They also emphasized that a purchase history is not needed to be offered a bag... Not sure if my wish-list will come through but will wait and see!

Quick question for those already shopping in London. Do you ladies and gents find that NBS have more stock than the Sloane location? Most B and K purchase I’ve seen recently are coming out of NBS, so wondering what’s your experience.

Hello everyone, just wanted to give an update on my NBS experience last Saturday. I was in the area for a different errand and didn't think I would have time to go to the boutique so I did not make a prior appointment. My errand ended early though, and when I passed by NBS, there were only 2 people in the queue. When I was at the front of the queue, the SA at the door asked me if I had an SA, and I said no, and that it was my first time. She asked what I was after, and when I said an Evelyne bag, she immediately asked what size. I said 29 and she let me in, explained that they had a few in the store but that I had to wait for the next SA to become available. I could sit by the men's shoes area or stand by the scarves section on the first floor. She offered the hand sani too.

So my total wait time from the time I queued to the time an SA was available for me was about 30-35 minutes. I didn't mind because I was both excited and I had my mobile to entertain me, but I guess this is where the advantage of having an appointment comes in :smile:My SA was Satar, and he was very polite. He confirmed that I wanted the 29 and not the popular 16, and asked what colour and hardware. He brought out the Etoupe and Gold, both in palladium. I was initially after the Gold, because it also matches my belt - I think we're all familiar with the Alessandra Ambrosio photo that may have started the Hermes journey of some :amuse: But when I held the Etoupe, I think I fell in love  Satar's vote also went with the Etoupe, and he warmed up a bit here, probably thinking I'm silly cause I was so giddy hahaha. I had such a huge smile behind my face mask. After I made my decision, he took out the phone where I guess the database app of clients and their purchases are, to look up my record (my only prior purchase has been tableware at Harrod's because NBS did not have it in stock when I bought). He chatted me up a bit while he was putting in the information and during payment, and he asked if I wanted the white bag over the normal paper bag. He walked me to the door and we exchanged thank you's and I walked out a happy lady!

I can now replace the huge 33 that was a hand-me-down with this 29, which is the right size for me. So overall, a positive first time experience for me. Perhaps I will visit again before Christmas - but I will make an appointment this time :)
