Happy reading! :)

Hi everyone, I've very recently added a ''wish'' for a Birkin in the London Bond Street store and was wondering how long it was likely to take... I'd be really interested to know what everyone's experience has been, so please share!

Also, I've asked for a Birkin 35, which I understand is currently less popular than a Birkin 25 or 30, do you think that makes it more likely that I'll be offered one soon?

Hoping that my wish will come true in time for Christmas... Look forward to hearing about everyone's experiences and thoughts x

how long is a piece of string? Everyone’s experience with getting their first B/K/C is going to be different and will not necessarily bear relevance to when you will receive an offer for a bag, there are too many variables. All you can do is be patient and wait and while doing so familiarise yourself with the brand.

Thanks @JA_UK. I'm already quite familiar with the brand and lucky enough to have already been offered a K & C from the boutique, without having to wait (perhaps I should have mentioned this in my initial post, sorry I'm new here ;)). Either way, I'd be interested to know what people's experiences have been in terms of waiting for a Birkin, especially in the current COVID environment... x

I also was offered to put my name down on the wishlist for a Kelly 28 in classic colors last month and being noir/gold/etain are very popular so was told that’s going to be a longer wait. Not exactly a regular big spender so I don’t have high hopes and not sure if SA did it only to rid off me in a polite way. :-s

Hello everyone, I wanted to hear people’s experience of the Royal Exchange boutique? I have recently made a remote purchase there and the whole experience went very smoothly and the SA was extremely responsive. My usual boutique is the Bond Street one where I don’t find my SA as responsive (possibly because of higher traffic and higher spenders), so I am thinking of possibly changing boutique...
Thanks in advance!

Hi @londongal2009, I only shopped there a couple of times and always had a really good experience. Both times were pre-COVID and I was one of only 2 customers in the store. So didn't have to wait to be helped and didn't feel rushed. The only downside is that they have much less on show and in stock vs. the Bond or Sloane stores so I don't know what that means in terms of getting B/K/Cs from there vs. the flagship stores. I was offered a black Picotin 22 with GHW there. Hope this helps & let us know what you decide ;-)

Thank you for your reply! I can imagine there being less B/K/C stock but I feel that if the shopping experience is more enjoyable and personalised, it is perhaps worth it as opposed to ‘competing’ against big spenders in NBS!
I am also looking for a Picotin so fingers crossed!

Hi, I do most of my shopping in Royal Exchange boutique. They are very nice and very helpful. I mentioned that I would like a noir Kelly 28, and a few months later they offered it to me. I believe there is a Youtuber JoJo Lux, I think she shops primary through them as well.

Wow that's impressive. Would you mind to share whether you have a good purchase history and a long standing relationship with them?

Hi,
I would not say that I have a good purchase history: I got like a year before some few small items from them, before asking them for the bag. So was pleasantly surprise myself when their contacted me with the bag offer.
But it might be changing now, with the new system they are putting in place all over the Boutiques. So not sure how lucky we are going to be going foward. But it did not stop me to put my name on next H bag:)

Royal exchange is my preferred store, the only “issue” is it’s too close to my office and I regularly find my feet walking me there, when I really only popped out for a sandwich! Sigh. :graucho:

I find them really helpful, and I’m by no means their best customer, so I get the sense the welcome is genuine.
