Thank you! Do you buy something whenever you are in store? I also live not too far from the store and feel almost obliged to buy something whenever I visit her especially in Covid situation which I normally need to arrange (email her) before I come in.
Oh god no! I’d be bankrupt if I bought something every visit lol
My SA is also super blunt with me and says he will not sell me or ask me to buy anything I’m not 100% certain I love.
The last couple of visits I had actually intended to buy items but they haven’t had them in stock.
I’d say I’m super close with my SA though, I have no doubt that he remembers who I am (he even calls me by my nickname that only my actual friends call me).

ah that’s very nice of him. Mine is not as close. She is very very nice but shy and her English isn’t that good. Anyway, I will visit her this weekend and see how it goes!

My regular SA at Cadogan retired and I met a new SA because the other ones I know were away for their holidays. I bought one dress and he offered to take down my bag wishlist. Erm. Ok. I will contact him at some point.

Do you think since they have implemented this new system that they are just creating bag wish lists for every single person who says they are looking for a bag?
I honestly am really conflicted - on one hand I totally get how it’s maybe fairer, especially for those who literally only want a B or K and have no interest in other products.
But then I think about how, me personally, I have spent a lot of time (and money), “playing the game” to try and get what I want. I feel like that effort was kinda for nothing.
I mean no one was forcing me to buy things or play the game but yeah.. I’m a bit yay and nay for the change in system.

The DH is going to London next week and I am sending him on a quest. There are 4 H boutiques in Central London: Sloane St, New Bond St, Royal Exchange, and Harrods. He is staying at the London Metropolitan, so I reckon the nearest would be New Bond St or Harrods. But I would like to hear opinions on which of these has the best selection and recommendations on SAs. He has limited time and said he can only go to one

I always had spectacular service in the one on Sloane Street, right on the corner with the gated park across that small road, they tend to be friendly, helpful and if they didn't have an item called around.

If he is pressed for time, contact the stores in advance

I honestly believe the previous 'game' is still on. I mean, each store is still only going to receive a limited quantity of quota bags, and at the end of the day, obviously the SM/SA favour clients with better relationships (i.e. spending history).

Very possibly :)

My usual SA was on holiday when I visited a couple weeks ago and the SA who looked after me offered to update my wish list even though I did not ask too. He did explain the new system so I thought it might just be standard procedure now.

This is also true.

I would assume that they would still have a “priority” system in place.

It is what it is, I doubt that this new system will change much and either way I’m not too bothered lol

Hello everyone! I’m moving to London end of this month. As sad as I am to leave my SA in Canada, I’m also looking forward to building a relationship with a new SA in central london. Any recommendations for which boutique to go to? (Bond or Sloane?)

So helpful learning about the new system in place and all of you ladies and gentleman’s experiences!

I generally find Sloane street much friendlier and more helpful than Bond st where I often feel a bit 'ignored' by the SA
I cant recommend an SA at Sloane as my old one left and I now shop In the Selfridges Concession as its near where I work and friendlier than Bond ST

It really depends on you meeting and clicking with someone who gets you and your style. I find this so much more important and helpful than a direct recommendation sometimes. I wish you much luck finding the perfect SA for you, as I think everyone would have different experiences even with the same SA at the same store.

I would echo what Periogirl said above.
It took me a while to find my preferred SA. I wouldn’t say other SAs were bad or gave bad service, I just didn’t “click” with them. Bond St just seems a little too busy for me to actually build a relationship properly. I feel like if I’m not spending thousands each time I go there, I don’t make much headway with relationship.

I go to Selfridges H concession as I’ve had good experiences there and my SA Ciro is so so lovely. He really gets me and what I love. Isn’t pushy and will never ask me to look at or buy anything that I’m not 100% on. Other ladies here also have Ciro as an SA and feedback has been good!

Ciro is my SA and I adore him!!! he's always honest-kept in touch during lockdown and is never pushy!
He 'gets me!' its because of Ciro that I've given up my dream of a 40 Birkin-if he says its too big for me I know he's right-I trust him implicitly
