Hi, not sure if this is the right place to ask but does anyone know if it is possible to ring Hermes in London to either buy or be put on the waitlist for a Picotin? I have been glued to their website but with no success. It was either sold by the time I add to the basket or colours I did not like. Thanks.
If you are able to get to central London, it may be worth visiting to ask in person. Even if they don't have one there and then, it is much more likely they will let you know when they get one.

thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I cannot get to Central London. It will be a day out for me and under the current situation I prefer not to travel into London unnecessarily ☹️
I will keep looking online. It is weired they have Picotin online but it is always sold out within seconds. I know they are popular but I only ever managed to buy one which I had to return because it was made in Epsom.

Even if you are lucky enough that they have one, you'd have to pick it up yourself.

It’s not odd! I relax and distract myself by enjoying my bags, hanging out here, reading about other members purchases and dreaming about my future ones! If it is odd then you’re definitely not alone
Life can’t all be doom and gloom!
Exactly this!! I find that looking at this site and dreaming about and researching my next purchase as well as admiring others collections and purchases is a valuable means of escape and relaxation in these uncertain times.
I returned to full time work end of May and the hideousness of using the subway daily and wearing a mask for 12 hours a day and having dry and peeling hands from the constant washing and sanitising is made a lot more bearable knowing doing so helps me to purchase another item in beautiful Hermes leather!

Anyone who has been to NBS will know there are usually quite lengthy waits at peak times if you haven't made an appointment already. Now, unless you have an appointment arranged with your own SA and just decide to drop-in, you'll have to wait outside until (an assigned) SA becomes free. Not a long queue and staff were being very well-mannered, but just in case it turns very hot/rainy, check weather, and dress accordingly for outside.

SAs are also on strict rota system so check which day your SA is currently working if you would like to make an appointment.

New season scarves from Sat.

Speaking of queues and whatnot, I was passing through a very quiet Selfridges this lunchtime with a little time to kill, but there are queueing systems within the various concessions. I was told by the friendly host that the wait for H was about 25 minutes and you can't go in and browse without being assisted, so please all be aware that queues are a reality in all London stores at present, not just the boutiques.

That makes sense as they would have to quarantine anything anyone touches if they don't buy it.

Which is apparently exactly what they do. For 3 days I was told in CP. This was during my last visit though which predates the introduction by the government of the obligation to wear masks in enclosed spaces. At the time, I was still allowed to roam the shop, escorted by a masked SA but without wearing one myself.

hello, just wondering if anyone can tell me how to make an appointment in any of the stores in London in light of the current situation? Will be there later this month. Is there a website that takes appointments?

If you have an SA, you can email them and confirm they are working on the day you wish to attend to schedule an appointment. If you don't have an SA, they are operating on a first-come, first-served basis with a queue outside the stores and an SA will be assigned to you to work with you for your visit.

Naturally, if you can go in early on a weekday, you're unlikely to see much of a wait.

Thank you for the info! I don't have an SA yet so I will take your advice and go early on a weekday.
