I didn’t feel like going out that much (besides exercising and doing groceries) and to my disappointment NBS in-house artisan left, what means my bag will need to face a trip to Paris. Not sure I’m ready for that.
On a side note, on Sunday I bought a scarf, earrings and another bag from Selfridges over the phone and my poor SA was super busy. It seems that is being quieter in the morning.
I know what you mean. My outings are quite limited these days and my priorities are different. Home decor and furnishings are now more important...

Oh, that is really too bad about Claire. I hope they send someone else - there are so many artisans in the US and now none in the UK?

Paid a visit to ''my home store'' (CP) yesterday. Same protocol as in NBS: hand sanitising upon coming in, assigned SA, no browsing unaccompanied. Scarves are initially presented to you on a mannequin and wearing a mask is mandatory if you want to try anything on. Any item you touched but did not purchase will be quarantined for a few days. All surfaces you were in contact with will be thoroughly disinfected after you leave and before they let another client in. Made me feel guilty as I tend to lean on the display cabinets...
The team seemed genuily pleased to see a familiar face and it certainly was reciprocal. Apparently the staff at Chanel and Celine down the road were not as lucky with the majority of them being laid off while, as already mentioned, H decided to keep everyone on full pay during the whole time the shop was closed.
Obviously, with so few tourists around, the shop was really quiet. Overall, a somewhat weird shopping experience. Let's just hope this will not be the ''new normal'' for too long.

Fully agree! I've shopped at both CP and NBS. Clearly H is doing their best to serve their customers but it's a very different experience. I hate not being able to walk around unaccompanied...I feel like I can't truly explore the products and I'm wasting my SA's time

Things are improving now, but is important to keep the infection rates down to avoid further lockdowns. I am very pleased that they have stringent measures in place, dont really mind the masks...

Totally agree. Walking around London and on public transports, it feels like nothing ever happen. Most people are way too complaisant imo.
Tbh, both in NBS and CP, I did ask whether they wanted me to wear a mask. On both occasions, I was told it was up to me for browsing but mandatory for trying on.

Hi guys
Hope you are staying safe and well!
I'm wondering if you could recommend which branch to go to for homeware? I have bought some scarves at Selfriges so I have limited experiences unfortunately :(
If not, do you guys recommend ordering online?
Many thanks!!

It depends what you want.

Harrods for all tableware (upstairs in the homeware section) has the most extensive range including the original mosaic pattern, NBS if you require a mixture of different things including some furniture.

Congrats on your new purchases Leileka, but that really is a shame that Claire has left . It was so much quicker than Paris. I wonder if they’ll replace her at some point. Hope so!
Thank you Toni! I need to stop now. Can’t thing about anything else except buying H stuff. It’s an odd way of coping with the situation :-s
Completely echo the thoughts, Claire was both lovely and super efficient :crybaby:
I also hope they find a replacement as good as she was in no time...she will be greatly missed.

Seriously considering starting a new tableware collection, but trying to fight my unstoppable H buying addiction.

Exactly. Actually I don’t understand why H is so much better with US clients than with EU and UK clients in general. Just look at offers, website, spa services and customer service...Although I understand the whole economic point, it looks a little bit unfair considering it’s a French brand.

It’s not odd! I relax and distract myself by enjoying my bags, hanging out here, reading about other members purchases and dreaming about my future ones! If it is odd then you’re definitely not alone
Life can’t all be doom and gloom!

Well, now that you’ve said, I have all my favorites bags out of their boxes and displayed around my bedroom, not only to make me happy but also to (try) to remind me that I do not need more bags. :giggle:

Masks are now compulsory - finally.

Hi, not sure if this is the right place to ask but does anyone know if it is possible to ring Hermes in London to either buy or be put on the waitlist for a Picotin? I have been glued to their website but with no success. It was either sold by the time I add to the basket or colours I did not like. Thanks.
