Funnily enough when I was in Harrods one time early in my quest for a Herbag and when I asked if they had one they did but it was in Lime. I didn't like the colour but as I was sitting taking a look at it I could see another customer being shown a Herbag in brown or another dark colour. When I indicated to the SA those people he told me that they had ordered that bag and were there to pick it up. Now I wonder how that is possible when I've been told that you can't order bags you want and they don't know when they get deliveries or what items will be in those deliveries and you just have to check back by coming into store as they can't/won't contact you.

I would definitely be up for having some kind of subgroup for those stalking Herbags in London.

I asked my NBS SA to transfer a Herbag from the collection at the time from another store (maybe even Selfridges where I was told display only) and he did that and I collected 2-3 weeks later. I wasn't a major client then (CDC and a wallet).
I know this is not the UK store but I could share (or even ask myself) my Warsaw SA - they had a few rare Herbags recently (the black one shown above with gold and also black coated canvas). It might be worth flying there to pick it up (cheap flights are from eg. Luton). Please let me know.

Actually when I was originally looking for the orange Herbag, I called in a favour and the only one at the time was found in Berlin or Düsseldorf. They were willing to sell over the phone and send it to UK for me (no extra cost). I’m not sure how willing they are to do this normally though. Perhaps Warsaw will do this?

I have no idea as I flew to pick up my Kelly (but I'm kind of local to both London and Warsaw). I'll message my SA's info and hopefully he'll tell you.

Any london visits? It was VERY quiet this week.

I went to New Bond Street where I was told they had had 2 herbag zips but sold them earlier in the day. Which was frustrating as they had 2 herbags zips on display, one of which was a colour I would have bought.
Then I walked down to selfridges where I was told by the female SA that no they don't have any herbags in stock (she didn't even check) and that apparently its rare that they get them as since shes been working there shes only ever seen 1. I took her reply as a lie. Because that's not what has been reported back in general from other people even in this thread and most importantly I know that SAs lie.

Popped in CP today which was worryingly quiet for a Saturday. Last time I visited a few weeks ago (when Covid 19 was still only a “Chinese problem”) my SA told me they did not have any customer until 1pm.
Also went to H at Harrods. Was attended to immediately which is also very rare. The entire store felt much less crowded than usual actually. Even traffic on Brompton Road seemed very quiet. Weird feeling overall.

Agreed. Walked to the Wallace Collection and all of Mayfair was quiet. Too quiet.

Unfortunately I can't say I'm surprised, as this week has gone on, public transport, the streets, everything has got progressively quieter and most big businesses are advising staff to work remotely. Coupled with an inability for tourists to travel and return home to most of the world, leaves nobody much to serve!
I have arranged to go into NBS on Wednesday, but at this rate and the rapidly escalating situation across the Channel, I can't imagine any shops will stay open much longer, even if our "proactive" government doesn't explicitly demand closures.

I haven’t been at Harrods can’t imagine Harrods quiet... was it really?

Did you buy anything? Did they have anything normally hard to get in stock?

I was pondering this today (I stayed away from Central London but was out and about locally in Canary Wharf) - would it be easier to score a B or K because less traffic in stores?

I’m popping by Selfridges tomorrow because I have lunch plans nearby. Will see what happens!

Most definitely, I'm afraid. I usually enter the store on Basil St or Hans Crescent (having arrived from CP through the back streets) and normally have to fight my way through the beauty/perfume halls. But not yesterday... At H in Harrods you have to register with a hostess before you are seen by an SA and the wait on a Saturday can be long. Again, no such thing yesterday.
