I was offered a GORGEOUS black alligator C18 RGHW that was VERY hard to pass, but I have been wanting a black B25 for a LONG time. The one on display had PHW and they brought me a GHW, just like I dreamed of. It couldn’t have been better

Well, I didn’t just walk in and got one. I’ve shopped there many times before and spent a lot each time, including this time. I’d say it’s one of the hardest places to get a bag. It took me a long time and many visits to build a relationship and start to be considered a ‘regular’ customer.

Sorry. I didn’t mean to dishearten you. I just wanted to clarify that my experience wasn’t I walked in, bought a few SLGs, Twillies and was offered a bag on the spot (I’m not implying that’s you, but that’s what many people want/expect to hear).
Unless you have to come to London for something else, you’ll come over on and off and can start to establish a relationship with an SA, are prepared to buy RTW. jewelry, not just small things, I wouldn’t get my hopes up...
Again, this is just my experience.
It is as if here you are a tourist until proven otherwise lol

Selfridges H has been kind to me, taking the time to build a lasting relationship with me rather than giving me the replies of “you have to come in every day to check our stock”. They got me to update my account so that all my purchases are logged - because my bf buys me things too. I noticed they paid me slightly more attention because I managed to score a Herbag on the H website and I am still looking for a twilly for it.
Bond St, I happen to know the Ladies Universe Manager and I still haven’t got my B or K! But they are fairly helpful still!
Harrods and Sloane St just don’t seem that helpful to me but maybe I’m not regular enough there.
I have been offered a B at Bond St but it was just a colour I really really couldn’t work with so decided to leave it for a worthy recipient that would appreciate and love it like I couldn’t!

Yeah, I love the ‘come back tomorrow at X time to check our stock’. I got it once and I wonder if they really get new stock or is this to replace the previous ‘waiting list’? Hehehe
A tip I want to share with everyone after finding out why my previous SA wasn’t returning my emails: I was told she only works there part-time! So before you keep coming back to the same SA, make sure she works there full time!
Honestly the “you just have to keep checking every day” line makes me giggle. Like sure, I have the time to do that with full time work [emoji849]
Luckily I work for a luxury brand (sadly not for Hermes!) and when I passed them my business card they also perked up. Fingers crossed some magic happens! I’m happy to wait a little for the right colours though.
