Hermes boutiques in London

In my view they don’t look at your spending at all.

If anything, I hope the things I buy reflects my appreciation for the brand and is not, in my mind, the typical B & K ‘bait’.
I buy the timelessness of their designs, their craftsmanship, their heritage, the genius behind pieces like the Guernesey card holder, the inspiration of others like a coat inspired by a saddle pad and the playfulness of a silk scarf with a board game in it (wooden die included!) or another full of bracelets (I love some arm candy and among my favorites is my chaine d’ancre; my 1st H gift given to me by my step father who is no longer with us when I was 16. I bought a pair of cufflinks to match the last time I was in London as an Anniversary gift).

I don't think 'write down your preferences' is a polite way of blowing you off.
Although I can understand that one might think that.
In fact, I would take it as quite a positive response.
This whole game without rules means that you have to be proactive.
Although I have never wanted a B or K, so don't have that problem, I think the spending game is much more blatant in Asia, more subtle in US and not much of a feature in UK.
It is genuine interest in Hermes that seems to count more here.

I guess when one is played the ‘waiting list’ game way past it’s expiration date you start taking any ‘please write down...’ as a a polite blow off, but I’m glad to hear this doesn’t sound like it.
I guess being a ‘local’ matters a lot because I can say the same thing about my ‘home’ H.

the spending is normal most places. friend was in South America and was offered a B25 and K28 if they would spent 13k USD.

And while you are at it, post some photos of you and the coat. Sounds beautiful!

Thank you!
I’m down with a cold and fever, so not in ‘modeling’ shape, but will take some pictures as soon as I’m better.
Meanwhile, here’s the picture from the collection and while looking for it, I also found this shirt I still regret not getting in Dublin...

I was recently offered a B30 at NBS with less than 2k of shopping history at that store. So, I guess there is no rhyme or reason for what they do. You should definitely email your preferences so they have time to get your bag in-store in time for your visit. It sounds like they want to accommodate you. Good luck!
Thanks a lot, MsAli!
I’ll definitely try that.

Hi
I was offered a B30 with zero history. I did purchase various items in the past from various hermes stores but dont think they had me on their system. I had to register my name to put my name down for wishlist. Hope that helps.

Was just at the NB store and sale associate told me that the B/K/C are usually reserved for the regular customers and if you are lucky you get one which is not often.
Selftidges on the other hand said you need to come in everyday as they don’t know what stock they are going get.
So I guess it does depend on the stock and how lucky you are.

1) you must make your wishes known
2) hold out for what you really want - I'm sure you will be respected for that
3) take every opportunity you have and start with your regular SA
PJW5813, thank you. It worked!!!
