I have a friend in London who is willing to pick up something for me on his way back to the states. How much cheaper is an Evelyn there and Oran sandals? Will he have a chance? He usually shops for me at the airport but I thought I’d send him on a shopping expedition for me.

I have responded to that, but the post was edited. Thank you for the suggestion and let us know if you have any prior experience with the personal shopper service and whether you'd recommend, in general or for H in particular. Here is a suggestion, if you really find shop floor overwhelming, perhaps you could try to use their personal shopper service? Harrods do have amazing stock it would be a shame to miss out.
Ooh if you are visiting London for just a few days, is worth going to all of them. Especially if you are on a mission.Hi all ,

Thank you so muchDo you mean Hilton on Park Lane?
If so, New Bond Street and Selfridges are strolling distance
a little further in the opposite direction is Cadogan Square which is actually on Sloane Street and you get to that before Harrods
none of them are far from the Hilton on Park Lane which overlooks Hyde Park
UK prices in stirling are quite a bit less than USA in dollars and little bit more than France in euros
If you look on the website and change your location you can easily see the differences

Heathrow has some of the best pricing because all 20% of the VAT is removed, unlike VAT refund where you lose half of it to fees.when i passed by in june the orans were 371 pounds at heathrow i think. i jotted down notes but if i’m wrong please correct me. i remember the orans being the cheapest i’ve seen anywhere including europe. esp since you don’t need to go through the hassle of getting VAT back.
