Just wondering if anybody ever scored a K or B at Selfridges? I found a lovely SA and did a big shopping spree with her. I love my H goodies but I’m not sure if I did the right thing. May be if I buy from NBS there might be more chance to get my dream bag?
Did you tell the 'lovely SA' that you want a K or B?
Not everyone who does a 'big shopping spree' wants a bag?
Don't expect any SA to read your mind.

I think selfridges offer Bs & Ks for customers who have purchase history like you . Try and contact the SA, I believe that you can score a bag if your options are felixable ( color, size, hardware) coz it’s a small boutique unlike NBS where options and stock are much better.

For me I like both stores, SAs are super friendly. But I’m not located in London , so I guess if I wanna score a quota bag, my luck will be better at selfridges, since it’s a tourist destination. I’ve heard that NBS are interested in serving locals, unless you are super spender. IMO.

Contact her, I hope you find what you’re looking for

Yes I did ask about K/B. The SA said they don't come in very often and her clients waited for 2 years for their bags. She let me try on a lettre kelly 25 on display and I said it was the perfect size. I didn't say what colour I wanted cause I thought I would have more chance if I'm not picky with colours and I feel like I need to see the bag colour/leather irl. She didn't seem to try to give me much hope but in the end she showed me blue glacier kelly wallet and I was in love. I had to get it and she said may be K/B for Christmas!!
So what should I do? Should I keep going back and ask the same question? Should I email her what colour I like? I really like the new blue encre and the kelly picnic.

I believe there’s no harm in trying. Visit your SA the store and browse some of their pretty items, and chat with her.

Tell her you want to treat yourself this Christmas. Let her know what colors you prefer, sizes, etc.

And tell her you’ll visit again to hear good news about your Christmas wishlist

Good luck !

Do you mind to share the rough amount you sent? From my understanding/ experiences, the amount one spends really vary and depend on few factors (Bag style> size> colors> hardware), and that two years wait theory, to be fair, is complete bull, once one hits the ‘target’, he/ she will be offered a bag, however all depends on the inventory level. But the wait is never that long.. also it’s always better to be more specific with your desirable size and color, and if hardware/ leather aren’t much a major issue, you may leave them out, as the numbers of PHW tend to outweigh GHW, and most of the Bs and Ks are in Togo and Epsom these days..

Yes that 2 years waiting is really bs, but normally u gotta spend around 8000 pounds of non leather items and u will def get ur first k or b there

I spent just over £6000. Nearly half of that was the kelly wallet which is leather good so I guess it wouldn't count may be? It was a lot of money but if I get what I want I feel I deserve it (hard work, house works, putting myself last for years etc). Reason I'm worried is I feel if I spend money with SA in NBS instead of Selfridges I might have more chance?

That’s a fairly decent amount, probably an extra thousand or two will do, considering this is your first quota bag. With regards to leather goods spendings, some SAs are more flexible than others, but one thing for certain, purchasing RTW and fine jewellry pieces will likely ‘expedite’ the process. The advantage of shopping at NBS is mostly to do with its range of products (a wider range of non-leather items for selection), however it’s understandably more ‘competitive’ to get a desirable bag as they have a much higher volume of clienteles. In any case you aren’t too happy with your current SA, you may try to ‘test’ the water with him/her again, I reckon it’s better you get your first bag with him/her before considering to switch store.

Unfortuntely in london the kelly wallet wouldnt count so basically u spent only 3000£ for the purpose of getting a bag, u need to buy more jewelry pieces or rtw
