But i tend to go in when its quieter-i have found that tuesday mornings seem pretty quiet,
Things are slowley improving ,but i never go in unless i am going to buy somthing and allmost allways know what i want,
One of the occasions when i waited for such a long time-when i finaly was served i told the sa i wanted seversl items-but started with an etrivire belt which i asked for my size in black-he disapeared for a long time and returned with a different style in red-when i told him it wasnt what i gad asked for he shrugged and looked into middle distance-so i then asked to see other items kn my list for that day(which we rere standing next to-and he just walked off and didnt return -no word of explination-and i waited and waited again to eventualy grab the man who is in charge of fragrance(whos name i stupidly did not get)who then helped me with everything i wanted-
Its jyst weird to me and frustrating.
I totaly understand that when or if the store is busy i will wait-but to be totaly dismissed when i know what i want ‍♂️

I am wondering if you could advice me where it is best to stay. I have a bit of difficulty deciding and am not sure which area that is best for luxury shopping including H. If I understod correctly there is two H stores in the area around Mayfair (NBS and Selfridges). The other area is Knightsbridge with Harrods and Sloane street. Which would you suggest is best of these two? I am not only interested in H but also other brands such as Dior and Chanel and other shopping/browsing.

Dear stay in Mayfair for shopping. The Bond Street stores are busy but are the flagships (Hermes, Chanel, Dior, LV) so the stock is wider. Knightsbridge is quieter, smaller stores. I live nearer there myself. Anyway it's not difficult to travel between these areas. Happy shopping!

Thank you so much for your advice Periogirl. Much appreciated.

Hi Nahreen: I just got back from London and stayed in Mayfair. It is great for shopping and we walked to Selfridges, Bond Street, Sloane St. It is a 10 min taxi ride to Harrods but on a good day you can easily walk to it. As a traveller that wanted to be in the general vicinity of great shopping with little time travelling, I was very happy with Mayfair.

Thank you so much Coconuts40 for your advice. The price level is a bit higher in the UK than here but our luxury stores are small (and no Dior) so it is always fun to browse in a larger store. I also have an upcoming work trip to Toronto a few weeks before my planned trip to London so it will also give me some shopping opportunity (but even more expensive than London).

Now I just need to find a hotel to my liking. Quite a lot to choose from in the area.

Hi Nahreen: you are most welcome. I actually live in Toronto so I understand high prices :annoyed:
Essentially anything I purchased in London was double in CAD dollars. Therefore you can only imagine the cost of my hotel when converted !! However it was really worth it and I am still happy I stayed in Mayfair. I found that even with the insane weak Canadian dollar I still saved some money. I did not purchase any Hermes but did purchase other items and with the VAT refund I still found I saved some money. London is fantastic and I such had a great time!!! People are so so nice, I was so happy with everyone I encountered, and the exceptional service in the boutiques exceeded anything I expected. I was very happy with my visit to London

I think you will also really like Hermes in Toronto. There is a lot to chose from. I am not sure if you are looking for a B/K/C? I am doubtful you will get one without purchase history but you will definitely find they have a wonderful scarf selection and other leather items.
