Oh wow!!!!! I should have gone last week to see the new department! May I ask if u bought anything in advance and got offered or u just asked?

I was browsing and would've bought any of the items I tried if they had what I wanted. I asked about the KP, then she mentioned the C I didn't ask for details because I didn't want to string her along I'm hopeful that it comes up again for me sometime in the future somewhere in this city

In UK the in-store and on-line prices are the same.
There was always a small difference between the Eu prices and Stirling, but you are correct, it is more noticeable now. Nonetheless UK prices are still a lot less than Americas or Asia, making it attractive for tourists.

Oh that s GREAT!!! Envy you! So you ve actually established a relationship with a particular and he/she s offering you bags... so it s just down to availability (vs other customers’ demand for a KP) ?! Major congrats anyway!
I ve been shopping in London here and there and never got a SA that could help me (I always got the “here s my card and plz email me” line but no response whatsoever and the next time I m at the store, I couldn’t seem to find the exact SA(s) and got served by another and made the purchases.... so I literally recognised most of the SA(s) and they recognised me but no one seem to be willing to actually form a relationship lol
P.S. I am not locals but I work in London n I heard that made it difficult for them somehow...

You should email them, I first shopped at the NB store 10 years ago and I did email the SA who handed me her card, and i did get my first Gold colour swift leather KP, back then it was so much more easier to get a KP. On forming relationships, when the NB store is not crazy busy, sit down with one SA (doesn't need to be at the leather department.) and chat. Monday I was at NB store and I chatted with the SA of the homeware dept about their design of bowls. Then we moved from there to shoes and then to scarves and then to bags. It really doesn't matter if the SA you are building a relationship with isn't in the bag dept. Like, at CP (London), I got my first made to order from the Jewellery specialist.

Oh, by the way, NB london is super busy now with too many overseas shoppers and especially on weekends. It will be good if u can form some kind of relationship with anyone of them and email them in advance with a time frame that you will go visiting and he/she will make the time for you.

Just visited Selfridges’ relocated H. The layout is much nicer but the new SAs certainly need to polish their customer service skills & product knowledge. I think I’ll stick to NBS & CP for now!
@FreddieMac: not a single men’s bag in sight today.

Current situation at NBS on Customer service skills and product knowledge is that.....
NBS has a new SA at their leather bags dept and was not friendly, actually down right rude. This person introduced himself as the new head of bags dept and informed me that my regular SA is now being investigated and no longer works on the floor. Not only that, he then interrogated me about my relationship with my regular SA. So, I challenged him to a handful of questions about the bags on display behind him. I was reminded arrogantly that they are display only and could not be bought. Had to tell him twice, almost begging him to show me the backpack in Lime on display, then was told this colour is not yellow its LIME. Sigh... well, since he was so stuck up but failed to name any of the displayed bags, I told him I would give him 5 days to study and will return to challenge him on Hermes bag knowledge and skins. Of course he played sick on the day I returned.

Hello
Im not sure if im posting this in the correct thread,
I wanted to share some of my experience with hermes in london
And allso ask if anyone else has experienced simmilar situations and if it realy will affect and hopefull future bag purchases
I started buying hermes in 2005-mostly in bond st but allso sloan st and manchester-montpellier in france and paris
In the old days i allways received warm and helpfull service even though -particularly in those days i did not look like the average hermes customer(i guess the easyest description of my apearence in those days would be goth-black everything big backcombed dyed black hair and patent thigh boots-i should allso mention that i am a boy)
But i bought many items-scarfs shawls bracalets collier de chien-an onnimaitou-plenty of gifts -baby gifts-ect ect ect
Then i had some dreadfull heath issues which rendered my financess-non exhistant so i did no shopping for a few years-but im back now and have experienced some incredible rudeness and lack of service at hermes-twice i have had to wait more than an hour and half being ignored by sales assistants before being rudly and dismisivly served-in the last two years i have purchased at least 15 items from hermes bonds st -yet have never encountered a farmiliar sales assistant inorder to begin a relationship-and only the purchase before last was asked to give my details for their system-which alerted me to go and check my old receipts -some contain none of my information and some have a ceriety of old adresses i havnt lived at in years-
The next time i visited the store when i was paying i asked about my profile and was told "ah i can see you have been a customer for a very long time and have biught things in all of our london stores aswell as manchester-"-i said yesthe manchester purchase was2005 for a cdc--then her expression changed and she said-oh we only have you from 2011-which dosent make sence
I find all of this very stressfull as i would love to be able to be offered bags but it seems very unlikley in this contest
Sorry for the lengthy poat-but gas anyone else experuenced issues like this ?

I'm sure someone will know if Hermes customer records become dormant or are archived if they have been dormant for a period of time. That might explain your 2005 purchase not being on the system.
When you had to wait for over an hour, did no-one approach you? you were just loitering around for that time? Did you make an approach to anyone to serve you?
I did experience something similar in the LV George V store; it was busy with non-european tourists and I had not realised that I needed to register with one of the host/hostesses; it was the system they used for distinguishing customers from browsers. I have never been aware of that in Hermes NBS, although you do at times in Harrods.
I hate the thought of any prejudice being shown. As you mentioned being a goth in the past and getting good service, I assume you don't think there is anything about your appearance that might prejudice SAs against you now.

On the occasions i waited for long times-yes i attempted to get attention from sa's (of which there were plenty walking around) but each one looked away and avoided eye contact-i waited both times besides the desplays of items i wanted to buy, nobody on those ocasions came to ask if i needed help or to let me know someone would be with me as soln as they were available-i dont know for aure if they are just judging my apearence-im ceartainly no goth anymore!-but i guess still may not look like ither customers-i do know though that last time i visited i was wearing more visable hermes items abd carrying my (new yo me) kelly and they were much more helpfull
What confused me when i was asking about the extent of my profile is the reaponce that they could see i shopped in many sores including manchester-but that manchester purchase was 2005 -then she said that the could only see a profile from 2011 onwards--and they evidently have a veriety of profiles for me -each linked to old adresses

I am sorry to read further about the lack of service; you should not have to 'shop around' but you might try a fresh start at Cadogan Square; it receives many positive comments on here.
Might i suggest you head straight for one of the sales desks and see if they can sort out your sales record; if you still have receipts take them with you.
If you still want to enjoy shopping at Hermes you don't want to let your recent experiences fester.

I know the situation should never have arisen, but you might need to take some positive proactive action.

Ha!!-it ceartainly wont and hasnt put me off-i love hermes too much to be put off ,i just wish it was allways a more pleasent experience and that i didnt feel like the sa's were evil guardian dragons sumising me and preventing me from buying what i want-it should be pleasure not stressfull,
But i have continued to shop at bond st -and have had better-though not great service-i have tried the cadogan sq store and selfridges but neither seemed to have as good a selection as nbs,and i am trying (yet still failing) to get recognition there and attempt to establish a relationship so that oneday i may be able to be offered new kellys-i just wish it was easyer and that i didnt feel i had to prove my "worth" inorder to be treated propperly

I don’t know what categories of items you’re looking at in general, but my current SA is based in the men’s RTW section, yet can assist with anything.

It’s generally quieter down there at NBS and I’ve had good service, with SA’s asking me if I needed help within minutes before I’ve met up with my regular SA.

Time of day could also make a difference, 6pm onwards during the week are pretty quiet times normally, with later into the week and the weekend sometimes being a free for all. I’ve had to wait over an hour for a planned appointment on a Friday afternoon due to this before, to give you a feel for things.

Still, as PJW5813 said, you shouldn’t have to dread the experience, and I hope things improve from here on in. As an aside, has anyone offered you their business card yet?

Thanks freddiemac

The last time i went in ,i was asking about an item i had just seen in the window of fsh ,but the store hadnt received delivery yet so they advised me to ask my local store to make sure they got one in for me-so i went to ask about it,it took some persistance and time-as they hadnt heared of the item and kept telling me it didnt exist even though i was showing them a photograph of it, but eventualy they checked their coming orders and they are expecting some and i was given a card my the manager of specialist meieters-i called a couple of days ago to speak to her but i havent had any responce yet-but this is an improvment/step in the right direction at least
