nvie, beautiful watch! I can't believe you got it at such a good price. If I remember correctly, I got mine for a similar price here in the states, except mine doesn't have MOP and it was the smaller version!

sally - Thank you. Hope you will change your mind and go for two tone because the price difference is very nominal. Anyway, will check it out and let you know. I know that two tone jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel with white dial, roman numbering is RM16,400 (approx USD5000) and with diamond markers costs RM20,300 (approx USD6150)

shu - It's 26mm not 31mm. Somehow it looks bigger on photo. :shrugs: Even my DH's customer's wife got it from HK, although it costs more compared to Msia but she said it's still cheaper than US.

ljsmom88 - I think the diamond markers are worth while. Since you are spending so much on the watch, might as well spend a bit more for the diamonds. You might regret it though...

My friend got a steel and rose gold jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel with diamond markers last year for RM20,800 (USD6300). She regretted not getting the gold dust dial after she saw my white MOP. Please note that diamond markers are slightly smaller on rose gold version. Not sure why.:shrugs:

Let us know your decision.....I know it's tough...especially when you see so many variations.....:sweatdrop:

To nvie - That US price of $6300 sounds a little low for the watch today.Stainless without diamonds is $5400 with a good discount.I can't imagine that two-tone with diamonds is less than $900 more. Do you know what the current 2008 price for stee/rose jubilee , fluted bezel and diamond markers?

Hokaplan - price of the steel and rose gold is still the same as the time I enquired, early Jan 08. Not sure if Rolex has increased their prices. Am going to the authorised dealer again this weekend, can re-confirm.

I found recent price quotes!
31 mm #178274 stainless wg fluted bezel - jubilee rhodium roman $6150 - 20% = $4920 + $295.20 tax = $5215.20
silver diamond dial on 31 mm stainless wg fluted bezel is $7800
With a better than 20% discount making it $6000 + $360 tax is $6360.
That price is the same as yours but it includes the tax and is for all stainless not two-tone. How much more is the two-tone?

Btw, please check your AD the price of 178273 (midsize two tones) with silver diamond dial, and also with black MOP diamond dial.
If they are cheaper than U.S. considerably , I may fly up there to get them on the way of my vacation month.

TO ceya and nvie - Do my price quotes sound about right or within the range?
I know I'm always talking mid-size as compared to ladies but
that should only make it $150-$200 more.

ceya, Hokaplan - Sorry, I am not sure about the mid-size, 31mm as I didn't compare that size. Rolexes in Msia, Spore and HK are definitely cheaper than in US. By the way, where are both of you from?
