Hokaplan and ceya - Went to a Rolex authorised dealer this afternoon and it's confirmed that Rolex has increased their prices since Mar 08 by at least 10%. :shrugs:

My watch is now RM27,200 (approx USD8250) instead of RM25,000 (approx USD7600). SA said luckily I bought it in Jan. :smile1:
Note: Prices after discount of 16%.

I am now eyeing the Cellini Danaos Lady. The problem with leather strap living in a hot and humid climate is maintaining the strap.

sally - you better not wait too long before it's next price increase! The one you are eyeing steel, white gold fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet with diamond markers and mop is now RM24,200, after discount. Difference between steel and two tone is RM3000 (approx USD910).

ceya - that's the midsize two-two, fluted bezel, jubilee bracelet with diamond markers and dark mop? I have to check it out for you tomorrow, if I go to that mall tomorrow because I did not note the prices of mid size models.

Also, could you please check if they be able to order 178274 with dark MOP diamond dial? I heard some of ADs they do, but I don't believe so. Although, my heart is crying for it.

I don't think that can the correct price for the mid size 2-tone with mother of pearl diamond dial...When I bought my watch in Oct. the ladies size was $9975 and there has been a price increase since then...is the price your quoting AFTER a discount??

ceya - Sorry, didn't manage to go to AD yesterday. There are 2 ADs in where I live. The one that I bought my watch from is closed on Sun. The other one is located within a mall which I didn't go yesterday.

If I am not mistaken, I think I might have seen the 178274 with dark MOP diamond markers.

Hokaplan - I saw a few thread which you started regarding Chanel J12 and Rolex. Rolex is a watchmaker's watch wheareas Chanel is a jewellery watch.

If you want to sell the Chanel J12 later, you might get low resale value, although it is the 'in' watch now.

Well, eventhough some watches are watchmaker's watch like Ebel has literally no resale value and Jaeger LeCoultre have lower resale value.

If you want to keep the J12, then resale value is not an issue. Just my opinion.....

Nvie - How long do you think J12s will be "in" for? I'm always the last to get the "in" item and then my time is limited. Also, what is the price range and do you know the best place to purchase J12s?

Yes, it does with roman hour marker. What I would like to have is black mop with diamond marker.

Hi, Ladies...I have been out of town and unable to follow this forum. I am happy to be back. I have made a final decision on the watch I am going to purchase: Stainless steel, fluted bezel, white mother of pearl diamond dial. Now to the price: The best discount I have been offered is 11%, but I hear y'all talking about 16-20%. Is 11% too low? Let me know what you think. Thanks!

Your watch sounds gorgeous. I got 15%. I think it is hard to find much better than that. Is your watch in stock or does it have to be special ordered? I have no idea when or if there will be a price increase but I would just get it with the 11% now since you know exactly what you want. Please post pictures!

Thanks, Hokaplan. The ladies on this site have been an enormous help! This is so embarrasing to admit, but I have no idea how to post pics!! Do I remember correctly that you have the exact same watch, but only in the mid-size???
