Can someone share their experiences regarding the authenticity of their Prada bags from amuze.com ? dont really see the point of spending more than twice on the bags buying directly from Prada stores and departmental stores when the same bags are being sold at amuze for less than half the price.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE!!!!!
i purchased a Celine Trotteur Bag a few month ago. recently i decided to sell to fashionphile and was told the bag was fake.
Amuze deny they sell fakes and refuse to refund my money. they are still selling the SAME FAKE BAG online right now!

Oh! Good to know! I'm starting my own personal list of resellers to avoid; Amuze will bring be added. I too am strongly considering pre-loved but it's scary.

Uh oh, I just bought the Adrienne Landau Rex Knit Rabbit coat on the site. Somewhat of an impulse purchase that I regretted instantly, but the price is really insanely good. The description on Amuze was awful (with misspellings) so I searched around for the same coat to get a better idea, and see them still available in high end retailers for 3 times what I paid. So it's a good deal, if it's real and not some ratty cheap fur.

I bought it two days ago and was charged instantly, but no shipping yet. That made me wonder and google, then this thread came up. Few sites charge you before they ship, in my experience.

I bought through Amazon Pay so I imagine there are some protections there? I hope...I am physically ill (and always cold!) and am not up for a huge fight.

I have been on Amuzes' mailing list a long time and almost bought things a few times but always hesitated as it seems so odd they have so many brand new high end items at such good prices.

I certainly hope that most people have good experiences and I'm one of them, and I'm sorry for those who have not and thank you for sharing. I certainly will never buy Celine with them, even if this turns out well. Seems like their Celine supplier is pulling something shady, whereas they get authentic Prada and others. I have no clue how the supply chain for these luxury items works.

I'll update with whatever happens.

Edit: just found this article on the founder of Amuze. Makes me feel a bit more confident.

I’ve shopped with amuze plenty of times. Granted my last purchase was at least over a year ago, but everything I received was authentic. That said, I would likely never buy a purse from them because in general I find it difficult to tell an authentic bag from a very good fake. I mostly bought shoes from them: Sergio Rossi, Gucci, and one Louboutin. Because I am a shoe addict with multiple shoes from these designers I could easily tell they were real. I returned the pair of loubs because they couldn’t fit and easily got my refund. They do seem like a very small company. I think because of the nature of how they source their goods, it is possible that the buyer for their company does not know when fake bags are substituted for real ones, and it sounds like they do not like refunding on the basis of authencity because they would also suffer a loss. That said I only buy handbags when there’s little margin for doubt and I personally wouldn’t risk buying bags from them, but I would for things like shoes, and things from lesser known designers that are not as likely to be so well replicated. I would also authenticate if I had any doubt.

I got my shipping notice today so I think all will be well.

I think BelleMort gave good advice on the bags. Such a highly coveted and frequently knocked off item, one needs to be very careful with. Unfortunately, they use stock photos and not the item you are actually getting so it’d be impossible to inspect in advance. And they charge 15.00 for returns to cover shipping, which in my mind, should be on them if they inadvertently sold a fake. But at least they do accept returns.

However, It looks like I’ll get my item and I don’t think this furrier is well-known enough to be knocked-off so I’m feeling good about Amuze. If it arrives used it in poor shape I’ll post again but I’ll assume all is well.

I just hope shipping is fast as it’s getting cold!

I impulsively purchased a YSL cabas rive gauche bag with the extra 30% off coupon code over the weekend. It hasn't shipped yet but I'll definitely get it authenticated once it arrives. I hope it arrives in perfect condition and that it's authentic! I'll circle back to the thread with an update.

I purchase a pair of CL Pigalle 120 in nude during the sale. I had been stalking them for a while and once the 30% off hit I grabbed them. One shoe looks perfect, the other has a few flaws (nothing that would bother me for the price, but enough that I'm worried they might not be authentic). I put in an authentication request to the lovely people on the CL thread, so fingers crossed!

My bag arrived in new, perfect condition and authentic. It was wrapped fabulously. The authenticity cards were included along with the leather swatch and dustbag. Based on this experience, I'd purchase a bag with Amuze again. The retail price of the medium Saint Laurent Cabas Rive Gauche is $2450. After the discounted price and the 30% off coupon, I only paid about $950, which is a fantastic deal. Hope this helps!

Hi! I first purchased from Amuze in august. I was hesitant because the prices seemed too good to be true. When I looked for online reviews, there were complaints about customer service and weird requests for identify verification only, so when I saw I could pay through amazon pay, I decided to take a gamble.

My first purchase was a pair of Manolo BBs. I was happy with the purchase and had no concerns about authenticity. They came in original packaging and were indistinguishable from the two pairs of BBs I already owned that I purchased from Saks.

I took a gamble again a couple of weeks ago and purchased a Prada Double Zip Lux Saffiano bag. There were no red flags when it arrived (with dust bag, authenticity cards). However, something seemed “off.” I did some googling again and came across reviews about fake bags on amuze and concerns about Saffiano fakes across the internet (even gilt!) in general, that I decided to get it authenticated by Real Authentication. Unfortunately, they determined it to be counterfeit. I am within the return window and will be sending back tomorrow.

I think that most of the items on Amuze ARE authentic. However, I would be skeptical about popular, often counterfeited bags like Prada Saffianos and Celine bags.
