Experiences with SELLING to Bag Borrow or Steal

I submitted a Coach bag for consideration and this is the message I got from them:

Thank you for contacting AVELLE/Bag Borrow or Steal regarding the possible sale of your Coach handbag.

In addition to the images you have added, we need to view a clear legible image of the purchase receipt that is listed in your submission.

Please also include a photo of the Coach Creed, found on the interior of the bag; it is the leather badge with the style/serial number.

Your image can be uploaded to the submission you have already created. Simply select MY CLOSET > SELLING HISTORY, and then click the “View Submitted Details” pop-up box for the correlating BBOS tracking number (*please reference tracking number(s) below).

You're better off asking this in the Coach forum. Do you have the receipt still? I think you should post this in the Coach forum. The people there should help you way better.

I don't think it's all bags. I think they were getting so many fake Coach bags and some made it up on the site and so I think they are using this to cover their butts and verify authenticity (though we all know receipts can be faked too). I just sold a very high $$ item to them and did not have a receipt and there were no issues.

You're better off asking this in the Coach forum. Do you have the receipt still? I think you should post this in the Coach forum. The people there should help you way better.

Ok, I am insulted. I just sent them pics of my Valentino Rosier... and they offered $360 cash!!! Is that a joke??? That bag retailed for $1900 just two years ago. And it's in perfect condition! Seriously... that's ridiculous!

If they keep this up, i'm definitely not using them anymore.

Can anyone give me some insight/thoughts on your experience with selling on BBOS? I have a gucci bag that I'm looking to sell & I'm still waiting for their offer price. What is the general percentage that they typically offer? Are there other sites that are better (besides ebay)?

The short answer, they used to give decent amounts, now they suck.

I think they give about 30-50% of bags value (depending on condition). I refuse to use them anymore... they are very particular about bags they accept too

you're right! I just got my quote back & they offered $265 cash & $397 credit

The bag retails at $1250!! Any other ideas of where I could sell it? Any thoughts on bonanza? I'm too afraid of ebay...
