I'm not so sure how great BBOS and Avelle are. I've looked up some of their LV bags and seen them listed as incorrect names and show the retail price incorrectly. For example:

This is the bag on Avelle/BBOS sale site:

Not sure if that Louisvuitton.com link will go to it, but this is actually the Sunset Boulevard bag and retails new for $845.00. BBOS sale says it retails for $1,130.00 and is "on sale" for $845.00.

I've also seen a lot of negative reviews about BBOS lately. I think once they went from rentals to purchasing a lot of changes within the company occured and it is not as great as it started out.

I hope this heads up will head some of you out there. I personally have purchased a bag through Louisvuitton.com and it was a good experience. You have the option to personalize some bags and they send you a cool little catalogue every once in a while. I hope this helps. :)

Yeah, I actually have a similar post here about a Prada and Valentino bag. I even emailed them and they said they research te prices and put down what the "seller originally paid for it". It's a load of bs I think.

Hmmm, I think it's odd they just take the seller's word for it. Whatever they originally paid? I would think they would definitely research so that they are accurate. I know Yoogi's does alot of research on all of the bags they sell. Maybe that's why Yoogi's is such a better experience. That, and they are a lot more picky about the bags they re-sell.

Has anyone had any recent experiences selling Coach to them? I've sold Coach to them before their little fake fiasco, and don't want to send my other Coach things in if it's going to be overly difficult and ultimately rejected.

I submitted a Coach bag for consideration and this is the message I got from them:

Thank you for contacting AVELLE/Bag Borrow or Steal regarding the possible sale of your Coach handbag.

In addition to the images you have added, we need to view a clear legible image of the purchase receipt that is listed in your submission.

Please also include a photo of the Coach Creed, found on the interior of the bag; it is the leather badge with the style/serial number.

Your image can be uploaded to the submission you have already created. Simply select MY CLOSET > SELLING HISTORY, and then click the “View Submitted Details” pop-up box for the correlating BBOS tracking number (*please reference tracking number(s) below).

I almost sold my $500 purse to them and then I read the reviews for this company. There have been numerous sellers who have actually had to threaten police action to get a response from BBS, and BBS has the purse by this time.

And the biggest issue is they get your bag BEFORE you get paid and there's nothing definitive when they offer a quote and you send them the bag.
In the reviews Ive read, the sellers call and get the run around about where their check is, as well as where their bag is. One seller was actually told they never received the package containing the bag. What BBS didn't know was the seller used FedEx(not the prepaid USPS tag) and had received a delivery receipt with the name of the person who received the package.

And BBS states on their website, in an answer regarding the authenticity of the handbags in stock, that they get all handbags from the designers themselves. And from the offer I got on my purse, I know that's a lie. Do NOT sell to BBS. SELLER BEWARE!

hi all. I don't know if it is the right place to post this but does anyone have experience selling their Coach bag to Bagborroworsteal.com? I have a coach bag I am trying to sell forever at craigslist but no luck. And my DH is paranoid about selling or buying anything from ebay ! anyways, I took bunch of pics to sell on ebay, then my DH comes and totally freaks out and begs me not to sell on ebay....I really don't know what is his problem though. We only 1 time a $10 thing from ebay and that is it. ... I never sold anything but I want to ! So to keep him happy I had to forget about selling on ebay. I had a live chat with BBS and they told me I can put in a request , if they accept it, they will buy it. So, just wanna check if anyone has done that here and how the process works.

Note: if this is not the right place to post this, then please remove it.
Thanks in advance

Do some research.....you will find that eBay is 100 times safer than Craigslist. They have buyer and seller protection. eBay is not like it was 10 years ago or even 5 for that matter. I've been selling/buying on eBay since 1997....love the quick sale.......hate the seller fees.
Also, look for some reviews of bagborroworsteal.com and show him the research. Maybe you can change his mind :-) Of course there's always Bonanzle, but not near the traffic and stuff is really slow to sell.
