I just got off the phone from the folks at Avelle. I was asking about how to handle the DC and insurance thing on a postage-due label. As I mentioned earlier, the Post Office says that you can't add DC/insurance - and they were quite clear about that!

So I asked the question of Avelle. The answer? If you want to get DC and insurance, you have to pay for the shipping also. Doesn't make me happy!

This person was as nice as she could be, but agreed with the PO - no can do. She was an on-site person (the service is not out-sourced) and she said that she couldn't remember them ever having a problem with packages getting lost either in the PO or in the warehouse.

I took the address in case I decide to pay for shipping. Still makes me nervous not to insure!:shucks:

Well the way I see it is, I would rather pay 20$ in shipping than lose $$$ on an expensive bag. Just because a bag has not been lost, doenst mean it will never happen. Better to be safe than sorry. KWIM? :smile1:

I got an e-mail confirming that they received 2 of my 3 packages and that they will let me know upon inspection if they will take my items or not. I logged onto my account and I see that they have already declined one item and accepted two. (I hope package 3 gets there soon!) The one they declined is a small wristlet anyway, but I hope they send it back soon!

Well, I haven't bothered to read the 28 pages of this thread but I sold a bunch of my Coach bags to them... they offered a decent price (only $10 less than what I had been asking for - and not getting - on bonanzle/ebay). Plus, free shipping!!!

They totally paid me and sent all the money in one big check (I sent all the bags at once). It was almost $400 for 4 bags! And, considering the bags had been used and were from numerous seasons ago I thought that was a great deal. It was very easy to do and I would certainly do it again if they keep offering fair prices!

well maybe they decline based on what they already have on hand. Like they wouldn't need multiples of the same thing, unless it was a 'hot' style.

I thought they would take my wristlet because it's the xx - the orginal one, but I guess not. I remember these were going for crazy amounts on eBay a few years back. I'm not upset about it though, because I can still put it on bonanzle Plus I'm just happy they took most of my items. Just got confirmation that they received my last package.
