Experiences with SELLING to Bag Borrow or Steal

I have sent 2 packages to BBOS and have had different experiences at the PO. For the first, the PO let me add insurance and DC. A few days later, for the second package, it wouldn't. The PO person was very clear that they couldn't add services on a prepaid label unless the recipient had specified on the label that it was allowed.

It really made me nervous to just put that package in the mail with no additional coverage. I was even considering paying for the shipping myself, but realized that I couldn't do that with the label provided by BBOS - and I didn't know what address to use.

Has anyone gotten any information from BBOS on how to solve this? I intend to call on Monday, but presume that they're closed on Sunday.

^^ thats strange that you could add insurance the first time, and not the second time? I couldnt find hours on there website for you, but you might just have to wait it out until tomorrow, I wouldnt send it out without insurance though!

I know that the discrepancy in the way that the PO handled it is strange! But the clerk was firm. Can't do it! Unfortunately, I went ahead and sent out the package without insurance. Sure hope that I'm not sorry!

Ack! Im sure it will get there fine, I think adding insurance to a prepaid label should be an option. How hard could it be? Its an extra service anyway isnt it?

^^ It's a postage due label, not a pre-paid. The PO won't add anything unless the whole thing is paid in full up front. I got them to add DC once, but that was it. They refused the next time, citing that it's a regulation.

I agree that it's a Federal regulation. Sometimes you can get one of them to overlook the regulation, but it's kind of hit or miss.

Sure makes me nervous to send it with no insurance or DC, though!
