^It may seem like 3 months, but it's really not. I got one of my items declined and I am kind of disappointed. I think it only took 2 weeks. Because I wrapped up my item nicely, when I opened up the box the dustbag is not properly on my item and my item got damaged somehow. I think it got damaged on the way back to me. It seemed like BBOS just threw my item back in it's original box and did not care if it got damaged or not.

how long did they take to evaluate your items before quoting?

What are you talking about? They don't 'hold bags hostage' for 3 months.

Tatertot said: "Yup, they can decline the bag once it gets to them for review. They then send it back to you and from the responses seems to take anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months for the return if declined."

I'm reading all of this with great interest because I just received some offers from both Yoogis and BBOS - so far, BBOS has the highest prices but I'm trying to decide which is the better group to deal with.

This thread is VERY helpful! Thanks! :smile1:

It doesn't take 3 months, though, even though they say it "could." They also tell people that it can take up to several weeks to get checks, and except for a short period of time where they were WAY backed up and one of my checks took almost a month to arrive, it has taken me less than a week to get ALL of my checks. And I kept all the emails and check stubs and everything, so I can post without a doubt about that. :D They are NOT a bad company, despite what some people say (that person has problems with EVERY company they deal with apparently - eBay, USPS, Avelle - so take their advice with a grain of salt). :D

Thanks! I was thinking the same thing! ;)

Just to clarify I said "from the responses it seems to take 2 weeks to 3 months" I said responses as it was from other members refusal experiences I had read about in this thread and gleaned the info from. I have never had a bag returned by them myself:nogood:.

I have sold them two bags (a Chloe and a Tod's). In both experiences it took one week to complete the process from them receiving the bag to me receiving the check so I consider that pretty fast. Had I read this thread about the refusals after receiving the bags/giving quotes I might not have bothered to sell to them due to the risk but I'm glad I did. It worked out well and I sold them for a pretty good price:D. Oh, I don't work for them either;).

I'm glad you took a chance. The first time I dealt with them, I was leery too, but it worked out well. In many cases, they paid me more for an item than I spent on it to begin with. I've had nothing but positive experiences with them. I'm glad it's all over, though - my bag closet is bare bones now, and I'm happy with the 5 bags I have left. A small collection is a happy collection, because they all get equal amounts of love.

Wow! Their pre owned bags are expensive!!!!! I love how they list what percentage off - like you are getting a deal! They are used!!!!!! I would buy a used bag but damn - spend $100 more and get new!

When BBOS returned my item, they did not wrap it up properly. It seemed like as if they threw it in a box with one or two air bubble bags. A part of my item is loose now because of that. I don't know if it got damage on the way there or the way back to me. Since they did not tell me why my item was declined. I guess that's what happens when shipping things. I still would sell more items to them, if they are willing to accept and purchase them.
