Actually, I ended up submitting them both to Fashionphile and Yoogi's Closet. Fashionphile offered consignment (which I don't have the patience for) and Yoogi's offered consignment and direct sale. The direct sale price was $250 MORE than Avelle. So you know what happened next... I'm shipping them to YC today!
Funny thing is, I've had the exact opposite happen as well (Avelle offered much more than YC on a previous Prada bag). So I guess the lesson here is submit any bag you're selling to several consignment stores to see what the best deal is.

Avelle love Coach, i can second that. I used to be a Coach junkie, and i sold to them all of them with fair price. They offer lower for other brands, especially high end designer brands. Their buy-it now price is relatively fair for Coach.

DON\'T SELL YOUR AUTHENTIC DESIGNER BAGS TO AVELLE!!!!! It is a trap!!! I sent my authentic Prada bag to them on April 5th 2010 for sale. I never heard from them after that at all. I called them 4 times, once every week to check on the status of my bag and when I will get my payment check. Each time a different person answer and always told me they will check it out and then email me, but I never heard from them!!! Now they have my expensive authentic bag, and I didn\'t get any payment from them. I feel so cheated!!!!! This is a real case, and I\'m still thinking how I can resolve this problem. Anyone who has an idea please let me know. Would really appreciate it!

My personal experience has been super. I sold my first bag to them about a month ago - got a great price, and the check was here super fast.

Since Friday, I have sold them 15 more pieces. Several bags, and lots of small leather goods (all Coach - I just want it all gone). Anyway - I've made over $2000 with them since Friday. They have been VERY fair. And I took the store credit on one bag, so I could use it to buy an RM they have there. Considering all the ridiculous lunatic buyers on eBay, plus their insane fees and stupid policies, BBoS can't be beat. Also, Avelle/BBoS has FABULOUS customer service reps. I can't say enough good about them - they rock!!!

What small leather goods do they take?

I've sold 32 items to them now, and have received payment for EVERY one. I add delivery confirmation and insurance to every shipment though, out of my own pocket. Did you enclose a copy of their quote/offer email in with the bag? I'm sorry you are having a problem, but I can assure you that Avelle/BBoS Private Sale is NOT a SCAM at ALL.
