Hi Lov, would you mind advising which phone number did you call to talk to them? I'm having huge problem with them. I sent my authentic Prada bag to them on April 5th 2010 for sale. I never heard from them after that at all. I called their customer service phone number 4 times, once every week to check on the status of my bag and when I will get my payment check. Each time a different person answer and always told me they will check it out and then email me, but I never heard from them!!! Now they have my expensive authentic bag, and I didn\'t get any payment from them. I feel so cheated!!!!! Please help! Thank you!

I sent my bag to Avelle after you have sent in yours. I already have been paid by Avelle. Did you add insurance and tracking to your shipment?

I've sold 32 items to them now, and have received payment for EVERY one. I add delivery confirmation and insurance to every shipment though, out of my own pocket. Did you enclose a copy of their quote/offer email in with the bag? I'm sorry you are having a problem, but I can assure you that Avelle/BBoS Private Sale is NOT a SCAM at ALL.

Thank you for your info. I also added delivery confirmation and insurance to the shipment. However for the insurance, since I used the prepaid label provided by Avelle, only Avelle can make the claim, not me. That's the insurance rule. I also followed the instructions and included the offer email with the package.

I just sent an email of complain to Avelle to make it official. Will see how that turns out.

With the first bag that I sold to them, since they didn't receive a response from me, they sent another offer with an increase in the offer. I took it and ran:nuts:

oh man..i wish i had opened this thread earlier.

they offered me a pretty good trade price for one of my coachs..almost what i paid for it so that made me skippy.

I would only want to take store credit if I would realistically buy something off the BBOS private sale site (basically their retail site vs. their borrowing site) but it doesn't seem like they have much listed - at least not yet. I found just one thing that I would maybe want so I contacted live CS with a bunch of questions.

Here's the info I received:
- they can't hold anything for you even if you're pending a merchandise credit
- you can't purchase something and apply the pending merchandise credit retroactively once it goes through (even if the item is in their hands or you have an offer from them)
- they can't tell you anything about the actual condition of an item except that it has gone through a "rigorous inspection process"
- you can only get a store credit for a return (even if you paid with a credit card)
- most items are put up for sale only after they have gone through the borrowing rotation and enough time has passed where they are in less demand, among other reasons

This information deters me from taking the store credit even though the credit offer is so much more reasonable. I'm afraid to take the store credit only to have the bag I want go out of stock by the time they've processed it. Also, I would have to order the bag without knowing what kind of condition it's in even though the bags they sell are mostly, if not all, previously borrowed (and therefore much used) bags.

I think they should at least retroactively apply credit if you have pending credit that clears within a certain period of time - say 30 days after purchase - to encourage store credit transactions and increase sales. Doesn't make the best business sense to me.

All this doesn't mean I won't sell to them though - I have and if it goes well, will probably continue to do so. I'll probably just stick to cash and take my chances on Ebay/Bonz for items that got lowball offers.

An update on my pending sale - I got an email saying that my items were received and are being reviewed. So I guess they do send confirmation emails - it just takes some time for them to put it in the system and process it. Hoping to get my check soon!:yahoo:

i had contacted customer service about using the credit on borrowed bags..here was my response.

that's what i plan to do with lv dentelle which i currently have in my rent cycle.

I have always gotten higher quotes than what I paid for the purse or wallet....I don't even deal with Bonanzle anymore!

With Coach it could be higher if you got it at the outlet, but otherwise their quotes have been kind of low, and even lower with other designers. It is a way to move items that you don't want to wait forever to sell though. But they barely offer over 100 for most Coach items because they buy low and sell high. The prices they have the bags on sale for are much more than what you could get it for on Bonz.

They gave me $300 for a small plum leather Sabrina. I've gotten well over $100 on a LOT of bags. My Bleecker flap got me almost $200. I sold 2 Bridgits to them, one for $163, and one for $184. I sold a Peyton tote (the new one) to them for over $200. I haven't gotten under $150 for ANY Coach boutique bag. It just depends on what they have in stock and what they think they can sell.

I have used them numerous times in the past and have nothing but positive experiences with them. The only thing that I have to say is that it took them almost 4 weeks to send me back a bag that they weren't interested in buying. I am sorry for those of you who haven't been as lucky...:flowers:

^^Thanks for the info. Were they new or used? I asked about some that were like new, no receipt so maybe that's why nothing is over 150 quoted when the bags go for a lot more on ebay and bonz.

DON\'T SELL YOUR AUTHENTIC DESIGNER BAGS TO AVELLE!!!!! It is a trap!!! I sent my authentic Prada bag to them on April 5th 2010 for sale. I never heard from them after that at all. Each time a different person answer and always told me they will check it out and then email me, but I never heard from them!!! Now they have my expensive authentic bag, and I didn\'t get any payment from them. I feel so cheated!!!!! This is a real case, and I\'m still thinking how I can resolve this problem. Anyone who has an idea please let me know. Would really appreciate it!

I would like to provide the latest update. I wrote to Avelle to launch an official complain about my case. Erin responded to my email, apologizing for the long delay and lack of information. she said my "submission seems to have slipped through the cracks". They sent me the check immediately, Dave Martin from the company also gave me a call to apologize for the long delay. I received the check today, already went to the bank to deposit it. Hopefully it will clear smoothely.

I must say Erin and Dave were very fast in responding to my complain and resolving the problem. Due to their fast response, my confidence in Avelle/BBOS is restored, and would say that I would do business with them again in the future.

Thank you everyone for listening and for the suggestions.
