Thanks!!! Glad to join the club!

I got mine from Fashionphile so I’m debating whether or not to get it authenticated. My return policy runs out in 30 days. My heart feels that it’s real. But my heart isn’t an expert! LOL

As for insert, I think I’m going to go with DivideandConquer from Etsy. I bought one from them over 3 years ago to use in my GP 36 and it still looks brand new. It’s pricier than the others on the site but I love the lightweight and sleek look.

I’m on the hunt for a Twilly pair for her right now. Would love something cool and not girly for this. The vibe it gives off is just not a “Madison Ave Birkin”, but very youthful, take-me-on-an-adventure Birkin. Part of me thinks this B looks better nude and Twilly-free, but I feel obligated to protect her until my nerves are more calm.
Yea or nay? Naked and afraid better?? H Twillys best? IMG_20181006_110854496.jpg

LOL you guys are right! It’s probably all in my head!
My dear, once you carry your new B, you’ll wonder how you went on without her. BTW, I’ve been carrying my little b30 tadelakt, got my first scratch (horrifying like when you get the first scratch on a new car) and then you get over it.
I carried BF for the first time tonight. She went with me to the mall. The zipper on my leather jacket caused a few scratches, which were immediately rubbed out with my thumb! BF is the most amazing leather there is and I am so giddy that I have my paws on a heritage leather that is so forgiving. The smell of BF is TDF. I am so in Love.

Thanks for your post! I will take her out tomorrow.

Interesting you may very well have it right that it is the dying process versus patina. Ours look the same. I carry mine everywhere. I try to be careful and not take it to hazardous places - like the hair salon - but mine even came with me there yesterday by accident. Like yours, it spent the visit under a cape hehe.
Twins..Same here, I wanted a gold 30 with gold but was offered and took the 35BF with Pallidium. Same here on the edges, if I look super close, I can see a difference in the colors on the leather but I think in my case it is the dying process- not the patina. Mine is brand new. I brought her out last night to a restaurant, but I was so nervous about spilling something on her she had to wear a napkin over her most of the evening. I was rather embarrassed. Can you carry a 35 out in the evening or is it too large? Oh well, here's the corner shot and her debut pic. Lol..today, BFF is going out during the day!View attachment 4211480

I think it’s also oil on the hands from the craftsman fabricating the B. When I saw my BF last month (when I initially turned her down), my SA and I were the first to unwrap the plastic and SA said “we are the first to see this after the craftsman last touched it.” I noticed a little bit of darkening in the handles and piping and makes sense to me that it’s from the craftsman doing their job to make a lovely piece. It adds to the character of the bag. I just love BF and can’t get over how fortunate I am that I initially declined her due to DH then DH and I went to H a month later and she was still there! So meant to be!

That’s arrest point! Especially since it was right when you took it out. So glad to hear you love BF and got her out to play - it’s so wonderful!
