I know it can be confusing with different leathers called similar names, but this thread is for Barenia Faubourg only.

Has anyone seen a B40 out there yet in BF? I know we've seen 30's and 35's, but unless I'm mistaken we've not seen 25's or 40's yet, nor have we seen K's.

I wonder if following the initial production period, the leather will be expanded to a wider range of styles and sizes?

IME of H that's not just dependent on popularity but also availability and commercial viability (mark-up from cost to RPP). I think it would be a very good candidate for larger bags including HACs which have been available lately in small quantities

Good point - I also wonder if it is a more 'forgiving' leather wherein hides are more likely to be acceptable for use as the grain can hide smaller blemishes and marks from the life of the animal that the smooth Barenia cannot and so improve the supply and size of suitable hides.

Enjoy it and do not worry whether you should have had to work harder for it!

You crack me up. I did the same thing. Justification is one of the stages of “I just bought a birkin . . .”!! Just enjoy the ride. Trust your heart and the feeling you had the first time you saw her. How you feel when she is on your nightstand. Nothing else matters.

Hi ladies! Just wanted to chime in on my BF journey. While on a work trip, I was offered a gold Togo in 30 and BF in 30 both in phw. I didn’t know much about BF so of course I went with the gold Togo. When I brought it back to the hotel and read through this tread, I had buyer’s remorse! I immediately emailed the SA and asked if I can exchange it for the BF! The lovely SA emailed back and said of course! I ran back the next day and to my surprise I was offered another BF with ghw!!!! So of course I ended up taking the BF with ghw!!!! I was so in love....It was definitely my lucky day! Here’s a photo of the gold Togo next to the BF. [emoji7] IMG_5633.jpg

Wow! Congrats! What made you choose BF over gold? And what were your impressions seeing both side by side? Interested because I originally requested gold, but fell in love with BF when it was offered. Never got to see the side by side. BF with GHW is stunning- definitely a good decision!

Thanks!!!! I think seeing it side by side really sealed the deal for me. The BF looked richer and has a sheen to the leather while the gold Togo felt flat and matted. The ghw was really beautiful on the FB compared with the phw against the same color.... really made the bag have a much warmer tone. It was hard for me to decide as well without seeing it side by side.

I have Togo bags and that is what I imagined would be the case. BF has a great depth and richness! Congrats on a beautiful bag!
