Thank you TeeCee77! When I tried it in the store, I actually could not wait to use it. I can see that it really fits my casual lifestyle. As silly as this may sound, I think my hesitation is coming from the plastic on the hardware. I just need to take it off! Btw, love how you tie the twillies on your B. Love the colors too!

Thank you! Well if you feel more comfortable, use it a few times with the stickers on? I will tell you that I left mine on for a few weeks and it was really hard to get the sticky residue off - especially on the feet! What a pain! Now I plan to just rip it right off haha! Enjoy your lovely bag!

I know we have a Barenia thread in there already but this seems a very different leather.

No. This thread is a stand alone thread due to its newness. As such, we don’t know how it ages. Unlike traditional Barenia, it hasn’t reached “ode” status.

I’ve not been using mine much either. It’s been raining, we’ve been showing our current home since we are moving, so she’s been carted in her dustbag, and I’ve moved into a B35 for the time being

Would anybody be able to take any more recent pictures of their bags highlighting the patinating process?

I’m still intrigued to see how this new form of Barenia evolves over time.

I’ll pull Bebe out tomorrow and take some snaps of her. She’s developing some patina, I’ll compare her to my gold GP which is my “control” as it were

As our resident Barenia Snatcher, how are you now finding this compares to the traditional Barenia in behaviour, ageing and development of patina?

As our resident Barenia Snatcher, how are you now finding this compares to the traditional Barenia in behaviour, ageing and development of patina?

Well, my snatcher verdict is I think Faubourg evolves much more quickly than smooth Barenia. I’ve got a piece from 2001 that isn’t as dark as Bebe and has been used far more than she has.

Speaking of that...I’ve carried Bebe maybe a dozen times since February and she’s gotten that shade from her dustbag, mostly.

The smell seems stronger than smooth Barenia, and the texture is just divine. Think Togo with a much much softer hand.

That’s pretty much it so far....
