Thank you candypants1100!!
Wow jasp[/B, your e-ring is HUGE. I love the ruby accents!
Hi, Kohl Mascara,Thank you antakusuma!!!
Jasp, that band is amazing! Your hubby chose/bought well!
Ratnapur! That is such a sad story! I hate dealing with some salespeople - sometimes they are just so unreasonable!!! Did you ever get a replacement ring?
BTW, your story also reminds me of the time I got a too-small ring stuck on my hand. The ring was a size 5 and I'm a size 5.5 and I had fallen asleep with it on. I woke up and my skin was bulging through the splitshank and around the band! I used windex (read from online help guides that it would work). I literally spritzed and tugged/pulled for a good 90 minutes before it FINALLY came off. I felt like the tip of my finger was going to burst - it looked so red and swollen! But it finally came off. I will never force a small ring on me again!

Cannot join in on this conversation Ladies, but did take a snap of my sister's engagement ring! I did not take the best picture of this one, however, she got engaged at Christmas so has only just put the ring in to be resized (will take another picture then).
You and I have similar hand sizes! I have a 5.15 ring size, so thankfully I have not had the issue of getting a ring caught on it yet, but will DEFINITELY not go down to a 5 as it wont' go over my knuckle! I did use the trick to get a ring of someone's finger at Coach (but I used hand sanitizer at the time, we had no windex!).Thank you antakusuma!!!

Hope you get your ring repaired! It sounds pretty with the flowers!Hi, Kohl Mascara,
I tired the Windex trick, too, which always worked, but not that time. The ring fit the lower part of my finger, but sometimes, my joint was larger/swollen (all those home improvements, I think). I did get a temporary ring. A few years ago, I stumbled across a cheap, but pretty, little diamond solitaire on eBay. Not sure if it was 2nd-hand, but looked new. It was probably a cheapish ring, but looks nicely-made, and delicate. I actually like it better, and, as I no longer reenact, it can be a more modern-style ring. I still plan to get the original one fixed someday. I've been too busy buying other jewelry to do that! I'm not very sentimental about my rings, so it's ok for now. I will sometimes wear the first ring he bought me as one of my birthday gifts when we where dating--an inexpensive, 10k ruby ring from WalMart! I do think of that one fondly, because he later told me the story of why he had me choose it. We had been to a CW reenactment, stopped in WalMart on the way back, and he steered me toward the jewelry counter, and asked me to try on engagement rings. I did, thinking, "Ok, so THIS is how it happens!?!" He asked me to choose one. I said, "You mean, an engagement ring?!?!" "Oh, no. That's too scary to think about now." I was sooo mad at him! The salesgirl piped up, "It doesn't need to be an engagement ring, sir. We also have colored stones." I could've smacked her! Thanks, lady! Anyway, he later told me this all was a sneaky way of seeing what I liked--he wanted to surprise me with a ring from a real jewelry store. Then, he thought it better to ask me to choose when the time came (and that's another weird story!). He bought the ruby one as 1 of my birthday gifts (ruby is my birthstone). I always have to chuckle to myself when I put that ring on! BTW, that was July; he proposed, after dating for a little over 3 months, in late September!
