In my opinion, all ring guards like you have described, make the back of your ring wear down at a faster rate. Just make sure that you check your ring for such things. I, personally, wouldn't do this for myself, but if it works for you, it's great!

I don't think you understand how the ring guard works. I will try to take a picture and post it. The guard does not wrap around the ring in fact when the ring is on no one knows there is even a ring guard on. It's made of gold. Picture a butterfly inside the ring.

Hi Jasp!

I am actually interested in seeing a picture of the ring guard. My knuckles are bigger than the lower half and it's painful sometimes trying to get my ring on and off, especially if my joints swell up. Is the ring guard adjustable? Meaning if I resize my ring to a size 5 (my finger is a true 4.25 but has to be bigger to fit over the knuckle so as a result ring tends to spin alot) to make getting my ring on past my knuckle easier, can I then adjust the ring guard once past my knuckle to fit my finger (4.25) so that it won't spin as much? Hope that wasn't too confusing!! TIA! :smile1:
