^^ Ahhh, I think the confusion may lie in the fact that most jewelers call those horseshoe sizers. A ring guard usually wraps around a ring. Beautiful piece!

Meaning if I resize my ring to a size 5 (my finger is a true 4.25 but has to be bigger to fit over the knuckle so as a result ring tends to spin alot) to make getting my ring on past my knuckle easier, can I then adjust the ring guard once past my knuckle to fit my finger (4.25) so that it won't spin as much? I had the same problem with my knuckle. I finally went with a fingermate (search that word - i posted a pic) and then I added sizing beads inside so my ring would not turn. This was the best solution for me.

Hi, I just found this thread. I got engaged last week. This is what I know: 1.5 VS1 solitaire, 70 surrounding diamonds totaling 2 carat weight all together 3.5 set in white gold. I have big hands for a girl so I've always said I needed a big ring :graucho:

You don't have big hands!!! I have big hands! LOL. That's why I ended up getting a double halo (if I had gotten a solitaire, I would have demanded nothing less than 2 cts LOL). Your ring is gorgeous - so unique and really stunning. Did you/your fiance custom design it?

He didn't design it. It's a well known designer but of course he doesn't know which one so I'm trying to find out. It's the only one like this that I've seen. And yes I do have big hands for a girl, I can palm a basketball lol.

I can too - LOL. I have super wide palms. . .almost as wide as my bf's. . . .
But do tell us when you find out who the designer is! It's a beautiful piece :nuts:
