Does anyone use Poshmark?

It happens (it happened to me too in the past - lol). I wouldn't worry too much and wouldn't waste my time on it - it is hard to control such things. Mercari is an odd platform where it is hard to get a hold of anyone. Think of your PM ID disclousure as free advertising..
Yes, I don't really have the time to deal with Mercari. I bet this unethical seller is also selling on PM.

Are you guys comfortable with postmarks authentication process, or do you buy and then get a 3rd party authentication?
I think poshmark authentication services are ok. I would get a third party to authenticate. I think you can find great deals on poshmark. There are a lot of fake luxury items selling on poshmark over $500. There are seller scammers on poshmark that list a chanel bag for $5000 and someone buys it and the seller never ships it. I’ve been on poshmark long enough to spot the scammers.

I had two orders delivered on Saturday morning and I still haven't been paid out. I normally get paid in 3 days. Is this normal? Or do you not get paid until the 4th day now?
Sometimes that happens. I noticed that one I had that was delivered to a post office box took longer. Also their system doesn't always record the delivery time correctly. I've had things that were delivered in the morning that weren't shown as delivered on Posh until that night.

Thank you! Yes, the PM system doesn't always record the correct delivery time. I hope they both get released today.

Oh yikes. I was looking at a Fendi bag but I have no idea how to spot scammers

Look at their love notes. If they have no love notes , just ask them questions and have them do a video of the bag. Some sellers don’t have the bag and steal pictures. I’ve had it happen to me twice… stole pics of my bag and try to sell it on poshmark.

not really responsive to this question but I've had a couple of buyers recently who seemed new - had nothing in their closets for sale and no love notes. I had no problems - except for having to wait for funds to clear since they didn't know or didn't bother to accept the items.

It's pretty hard to spot scammers. I think you are more likely to be scammed as a seller than as a buyer. As a buyer, you can not accept the order and get your money back.

If you are buying something very valuable and are not familiar with the brand yourself, then yes - go ahead and get a 3rd party authentication just for peace of mind. I wouldn't fully trust their authentication services - most likely, there are a couple of college students (who themselves have a very slim idea of what they are authenticating - lol) sitting in a warehouse somewhere "authenticating" bags:)

Good point!

Yesterday someone made an offer on an item I've had listed for a few months. About 4 hours later, someone else made an offer of the same amount for the same item. DH was convinced they were the same person because it was the same amount. I couldn't understand why someone would do that. It's like bidding against themselves. Since I had two offers, I countered both of them and also sent offers to all the likers. One of the original bidders countered my counter. I waited to see if anyone else would do anything. Right before my counter was about to expire, the second offerer declined my offer. This person had her real name as her user ID. Then I accepted the bidder who had countered my offer. When I was printing the address label, I noticed that the buyer had the same last name as the person who declined. So it was at least a relative. Why would people do this? I think it worked against them as I thought there was more interest in my item than there actually was. Without the second offer, I might have accepted the first one sooner.

It could also be an honest mistake. I have two accounts, one that has my husband’s credit card as the default for smaller purchases, and one that has my own credit card as the default for more costly items. The app is set to the one with my husband’s credit card so that’s what I use for browsing and sometimes I accidentally make an offer using the wrong account. Then I have to switch to the desktop site where my own credit card is the default and make an offer with my real account. I know you can cancel an offer, but maybe the buyer didn’t know.
