Does anyone use Poshmark?

Just curious, how much is high end in your definition? I assume we are talking about clothing? Since high end jewelries and watches would be in millions each piece, high end bags would be in millions too, (FP recently sold a birkin 25 for $270,000 plus tax). In clothing, I recently sold a top for about $1,500, I consider it was low middle range in clothing.
“In clothing, I recently sold a top for about $1,500, I consider it was low middle range in clothing.” 😂😂🤣🤣

The seller told PM I switched bags, she opened a case with them against me. Will they side with the seller? I shipped the bag back yesterday morning, I got the bag on Friday and she began harassing me calling me a scammer and a liar, I notified PM and they blocked her messages to me but I got a email from PM telling me to follow messages in my email thread but I don’t see any emails. I do thank you for your help Nicole, I appreciate it since this is really stressing me out.
Don't worry. You'll get your refund. This is a case of she said, she said, and there is no way to prove who is telling the truth so they will give your refund and probably offer some store credit to appease the seller. I had a buyer return a bag that she had damaged. Poshmark gave her a complete refund. When I complained they gave me $60 store credit that didn't come close to covering my loss.

The audacity of some PM buyers. A PM buyer sent me 3 low ball offers for a high end item. I always decline low ball offers. I don't have time to go back and forth with counters. I looked at her profile and she's also a seller. She is selling higher end items too at higher prices. It's always these types of buyers that send the low ball offers. She then posted under the listing asking why I never accepted her offers? And then asked if I can give her a discount and what the loswest price I would accept. Block!! I'm not putting up with buyers like this. I just deleted the listing, relisted and blocked her. How do you guys handle buyers like this?
Why don't you put on your listing, "price as is no offers accepted". As a buyer, I always offer lower than the listed price, unless the buyer has posted price is firm.

Thank you whateve, I do feel better now. I would never scam anyone, my husband just had his 9th heart attack, I’m having a HUGE milestone bday in a few weeks and I thought getting this bag that I searched for would make for a lighter mood in my life but the seller sucked the happiness out of my plan. Thankfully though I was able to find another bag on Posh and hopefully this transaction will be easy. Again I thank everyone who responded. Have a great night!

If that is low middle range, then what would the tops I have listed for under $50 be?

I think Poshmark has an upper limit of $50,000. Can you imagine if you shipped a $50,000 item and it got lost in the mail? Would Posh's insurance cover that?

I haven’t listed clothing under $1,000 in recent years because been busy, haven’t got that much time to deal with them. Maybe when I get more time later I will list and sell them. I think selling $50 items can be fun, I just don’t have time doing that now.

The reason I mentioned a recent sale was trying to say to another seller not to too stressed about selling higher priced clothings.

Have any of you been asked to send them a copy of your license or passport? I know there is a new law this year about verifying identities but I don't feel comfortable sending them that info. I was just trying to buy something and they asked for that.

Oh no! I haven't been asked and wouldn't really like that either. Although drivers license is Much better than SS #.

Wow, just to buy something? I can't imagine why. You don't need to do that for other sites you buy online, do you? I wonder if it is state specific?

I remember being asked for a copy of DL. Most likely, when you hit a certain threshold/amount, they might ask to verify your identity to prevent fraud.

If you are a seller, they will ask for your SSN due to 1099k reporting requirements to IRS. It is legal (same for eBay, PayPal and other payment processors).

If you don’t sell - just buy, you don’t need to provide your SSN, just ID.

I'm just wondering why they would need a copy of my drivers license or passport, even when my online banking asks for verification they don't ask for that info.
I know there was a new law passed in February (?) that says you need to provide certain info but I don't need Poshmark having my SSN and license info... The law just said identity needs to be verified. Poshmark has had so many data breaches I'm a bit hesitant. I haven't sold for quite a while, at least 8 years and I'm not selling presently.
Thank you!

I've very skittish about my SS#. I got a notice that my data was breached in the AT&T thing. they offered a year of identity protection. I was going to do it but when I went to sign up they wanted my SS# online. I bailed.

It is IRS requirement for them to collect SSN if your gross sales on the platform is over $600 (the threshold might go up if the latest law will pass in Congress). All payment processors are required to comply with the reporting laws - it is to ensure adequate reporting transparency. If you don't provide your SSN, you can't sell more than the required threshold on the platform - same applicable for eBay, Venmo, PayPal - any marketplace intermediary that collects and remits payments. You can read about the legal requirements online - just google IRS 1099K reporting.
