Has anyone else had to add all of their personal info when they sell a certain amount? Should I just ignore the buyer? I normally message my buyer when someone purchases my item and let them know when I will ship. If they don't fix this I will not ship this $400 item, becuase I won't get paid!!! I have perfect feedback too.

I think I'd message the buyer and let her know what's going on

Thank you!!! Yes, I have been reading about all of these scams lately. I know PM CS takes forever to respond. I don't want to reach out to my buyer yet. I want to be able to ship the order, but I will not until they send me a new verification link. I did check my account and it has my correct info.

I added my personal info last year and didn't have any problem. I had sold a lot more than the limit before they asked for the personal info. I can't remember if I used the link to update or just did it on the desktop site. I think all I had to provide was my SSN. Everything else they already knew.

Can you update it on the desktop site? It's under account settings, tax information.

Yes, I did go into my account on the desktop site. It has my correct tax info, DOB and name. The only issue is I use my PO BOX for all shipping. They wanted my personal(home address) I put in the address of my PO Box. I think that is why it didn't go through. I did add my physical address under my account, but I still need a new verification link so they can reverify it. They still have not responded or sent me a new link to reverify.

No, I don't have it. but all sellers now have to submit ssn and other personal info for K-1099 per new tax regulation if sales exceed $600. the same on Etsy, Mercari, eBay, VC, etc.

I looked through my PM account. And they did already have my SS#, bank account, mailing address, name. They have had it for over a year now. When I logged in yesterday there was a verification link. This link asked for my cell phone number, home address( I use my PO box for all mail, since I had mail stolen at my home address) Such a pain to have to pay for a PO BOX and it takes me 20 minutes to drive to my PO Box. It's better to have peace of mind that someone won't try to open a credit card again if they steal my mail at my home. I travel for my job so I don't want any mail going to my home when I'm gone. I put in the verifcaiton. My cell, DOB, and the address street for my post office. Why do they need my DOB too? They already have my tax info, bank info, ... Now I have sold more brand new items and I will not ship them, since they never got back to me. It's say's I need to reach out to PM support.

I got annoyed recently when I got a notification that ebay was taking a couple of dollars out of my bank account. It was a small amount and had something to do with shipping but I didn't like that they could reach into my account. I called and they said they had previously notified me about it but that notice didn't come in my email. I had always just used PP with ebay as a buyer but now if you want to sell there you have to give them your bank account info. I did two sales there and probably won't do again. I should take my bank account off if I haven't done already.

OMG. I would be so mad! I have not sold on ebay for at least 8 years. Yes, I used to use PP on ebay. I would take my bank account off of ebay if I were you. Luckily I did get my two confirmed sales payout from PM yesterday. I took screen shots of the two orders and the transfer request to my bank. Now I just hope they really transfer the funds to my bank. I have heard that many PM sellers and PM Ambassadors are getting their accounts hacked too. They say they email PM CS and CS tells them there is nothing they can do!!!!

do you believer this? I called ebay. after a half hour on the phone, the end result is you can't remove your bank account or change to just being a buyer and not a seller. their "solution" is if I'm not actively selling after a year or two, I won't be a seller. so I guess my bank account wouldn't be accessible. so I closed by ebay account and will have to open another one if I want to buy.
what crap. she acted like waiting a year or two was acceptable. uugh
