Does anyone use Poshmark?

I don't take bundles, because of the high value of my items. A buyer can say they didn't receive one of the items, lie if they don't like one of the items and only return one item. It's too much risk for me. If I had items under $500 each I might consider it.
that makes sense. My items are inexpensive.

If you had each items over $500, I'd assume your bundle would be over $500 which means will go to Poshmark first, I don't see it is possible for the buyer to scam you by saying didn't receive one of the items or only return one item. I believe Poshmark is pretty fair on dealing with things like that.

Everytime is listed at $500 or more. Many times buyers make offers, so some items come out at $470 and under $500 so they go direct to buyer. I love it when my items go straight to PM authentication first. I also do not have large enough boxes for my items. I use the USPS Priority mail boxes. I'm not going to go out and buy brown boxes. My preference is only one item. I also will never tolerate a rude and pushy buyer. People are getting gorgeous, brand new with tags designer items already at a huge discount. I was so nice to the other potential buyer on PM. (She also sells stuff on PM) She had the audacity to message me under the Bundle 5 times every day asking for measurements on many dresses. First of all I travel, I also have a life outside of work and PM. It's my preference.

While I totally agree with you some buyers are rude and absurd, but we are in a terrible resale market right now, the worst thing is not getting low ball or selling low prices, the worst thing is no one buys it.

If you have other income and or doesn't care whether sell or not then maybe easy way is to block the people whom you don't want to deal with.

what I find puzzling are people who list items at a high price and then just sit on them. If you're not serious about selling, why list? I bought a bag on Posh not long ago for $60. It was in good condition. There are two others listed for around $300. No one is buying them and it's been quite a while. I guess some people have the belief that eventually a buyer will come along.

I think there are two reasons for that. For most of the items buyers will lowball you sending offers for up to 90% off listed price. Many sellers list with a room for discount. Those two bags may sell for around $60 too if someone makes such an offer.
Second reason, mostly for expensive highly covetable designer items (like Hermes Birkin) is to draw buyers to their closet. The sellers have it but have no intention to sell, they list it anyway for the price nobody's willing to pay. Like "look what i have". It's a marketing tactics, many brands and grocery chains are doing it, like a Black Friday sale commercials "flat screen TV only $200" but they don't mention they only had 5. Or Walmart is advertising something super cheap to draw traffic, they are not making money on that particular item but buyers are buying tons of other items with far bigger margin that can be cheaper in other stores. Etc etc.
Pricing games:)

so the item attracts people to their closet?
as far as items priced at $300 selling for $60, I won't make an offer that far apart

I have been selling on PM for over a year and so far great luck. The audacity of this potential buyer though: "I appreciate your explanation. I don’t mind to pay the tag price if I feel the experience is respectful and pleasant and worth it. What’s going on with the other dress?" Um excuse me?????? I travel for my job every week. This rude buyer is messaging me under a bundle(I state I do not accept, trades or bundles!!!!) It's a way for potential buyers to message you. I have all brand new designer dresses, coats, jackets, blazers, designer shoes......) everything is authentic, new with tags. She keeps messaging me to provide measurements of every item. First of all. I have a life outside of PM!!! She did submit an offer for 2 designer dresses for almost 50% off. I declined her offer. She then posts this under the bundle: "I appreciate your explanation. I don’t mind to pay the tag price if I feel the experience is respectful and pleasant and worth it. What’s going on with the other dress?" Excuse me??? I replied and told her I bent over backwords responding to her 20 questions over the past week and I have pefect feedback and customer service. I also told her she's blocked!!! What a bish!!!! I don't have to sell any of my items. I will not tolerate people like that.
I hear you. So many nuts out there. One woman keeps stalking expensive designer jewelry sellers and keeps commenting "why so expensive?". No offers, no nothing, just rude comments. On my listing she even "calculated with tax", wrongly that is. Does she come to Saks or Neiman and goes like "why so expensive?". Because! she'll be escorted.

Ah, thanks for explaining. I can understand that more from that perspective. Though I would hope that having to send the bundle to Poshmark to authenticate items when over $500 would also add a layer of protection, it still is more of a risk with high dollar items.

Of the 7 items I have purchased on Poshmark, 5 had to be returned for gross misrepresentation of condition. Shirts that were altered, sweaters with enormous holes and pulls, massively stretched out bracelets that were strategically photographed to hide that fact, etc. I have always had my money refunded, but it has turned me off to the website.

I have made thousands of purchases on eBay since I became a member in 1998 and have had maybe 10 dud transactions in that time.

Poshmark seems to attract a different type of seller than eBay. The asking prices on PM are usually beyond ridiculous. I have seen many things in stores right now that are a fraction of the price asked on PM. Why would I pay a seller $87 +$7.95 shipping when I can buy the exact same thing in a store today on clearance for $12? I bet the seller bought it for $12 and just decided to throw a price against the wall to see if there are takers. Sellers do not even attempt to mirror prices of previous sales on the site. If an item has sold a few times for $20, what makes a seller think $95 is a winning strike price? Just throw a crazy high price out there and hope a sucker comes along to buy it. And it will sit there for years unsold. Perhaps PM needs to charge sellers to list—whether they sell the item or not. Maybe it will motivate them to price to sell.

I much prefer eBay for price, ease of use, non-flaky sellers and customer service that includes a phone number to call in case I need to speak to someone.
