OMG I just got a message from a buyer that has had my brand new Burberry Jacket(with with tags) it was sent to PM Authentication first, so they could look over the item and confirm it's authentic in perfect condition. PM approved it and the buyer has had the jacket for 10 days. She left perfect feedback and left me a note she loved the jacket. This morning she messaged me saying there is a small hole in the sleeve. The jacket is brand new with tags. Never worn. I took over 10 pictures when I packed it up and shipped to PM authentication. They approved it and shipped onto the buyer. If they saw anything they would have noted that. This is not fair to me. She had had it for 10 days. She could have gotten a hole in the sleeve. There was no hole when I shipped it to PM. I better not lose my money. I have never had this happen. Does anyone have advice?

Does anyone watch the purse mystery box shows? My Friday night has been a little slow, so I just watched an unboxing where they all went between $1,500 - $2,000 - and imo, most of them contained junk. I was kinda horrified, but couldn’t take my eyes off the train wreck (the buyers in the chat though seemed happy to happy-ish with them, so I guess that’s what matters? The host though is making an absolute killing off of their naïveté).
I haven't hear of that. People spend over $1,000 for something they've haven't even seen in a picture? and don't know what it is?

I assume the sale is final by now. She had a chance to complain in the first 3 days. There isn't anything you can do about it so there is no reason for her to contact you. Only PM can do something about it. They might offer her a small refund or store credit but I doubt they will allow her to return it at this late date. I don't know what would happen if she opened a credit card dispute though.

I would not assume this will come back to you. It is so clearly beyond the return/acceptance date the buyer could not even be sure the damage didn’t occur on her watch. To me this is an example of why people sell through 3rd party sites - buyer & seller protection with clearly defined rules.

It better be. The Jacket was brand new with tags and PM Authentication approved it. She also left me perfect feedback and said she loved it. It's not my fault if she damaged the jacket over the 10 days that she had it. Thank you for your advice.

Yes, I agree about selling through third party sites with protection defined. I will leave an update of what happens. Selling can be so stressful!

It gets crazier than that! I next hopped into a luxury bag mystery box show where the seller had a mystery Birkin with a starting bid of $10K. No one got that one, but I did see someone bid $2500 for a three piece set of pink items (presumably two SLG’s and one bag?). I unfortunately fell asleep before they got to the unboxing. Lol, and here I am afraid to bid more than $100 for a mystery Coach.

Sorry it happened to you.I had a buyer who also bought a brand new with tags Burberry bag , 10 days later she sent me me message "I'm returning" and claimed "the bag is different" and contacted PM. The same buyer? On my side I had pics and video in the listing and took pics before the shipping. I contacted support with my pics just in case, since I was already paid and it's all good and matching on my side they brushed her off.
you can do the same, or if you are eager to deal with her ask for pic. in response send her your pic before shipping. if it's her honest mistake (she or someone in her household or outside damaged it) she wouldn't continue to press the issue.

OMG, I'm so sorry you went through this too! I wonder if it's the same buyer. Did you send the bag to PM Authentication first? They would have noted if the item was different before they sent it onto the buyer. I also took a video and 10 up close pictures when I was packing up the jacket. On my listings I always show a lot of up close pictures. I show the inside, outside, authentic tags which are inside the burberry jacket, the burberry manufacturer tags... I always do that, since you never know if your going to get an unethical buyer. I responded to her message under the listing. Stating the jacket was brand new with tags and when I sent to PM Authentication it was in perfect condition. PM Authentication would have noted it there was any hole or anything wrong with the jacket before they shipped it onto her. I also told her did something happen to the jacket over the 10 days that she's had it.

Mine was direct shipping because I'm a verified auth reseller, I can send directly up to $2K I think. Since PM already authenticated and verified it, you are safe. That's also weird why she would post a comment instead of sending a message to sale with a pic of alleged hole? because there's no hole? I think PM would dismiss her claim, or will ask her for a pic and will respond that it was not there.

I also had a one who tried to cancel order after shipping, claiming offer was made by her daughter. Once she got the item, she claimed lock on pendant is not working. It was mentioned in the listing that lock is not tight, but working. Too bad for her, I also took a video of the lock working against the label with her name and uploaded it to cloud for PM to see. Her claim was dismissed as well. So may of them!

Thank you for your great advice! I'm so glad your unethical buyers were not able to return them.
