Does anyone use Poshmark?

I just had a nightmare buyer. She claimed my new bag was used by showing crumbs in the back pocket. None of my used purses have crumbs in the back pocket. Why would they? Do people put biscuits in their purse pockets? It didn't matter how I responded to her claim; I was never going to win. Posh approved the return and when I received it, she had put an ink mark on the front. I immediately opened a case. They made a decision very quickly. They gave me a $60 PM credit I can only spend on PM. That doesn't help me at all! They know that if I want to use it I'll have to spend more of my own money. The purse is ruined. I lost the total amount I paid. It wasn't super expensive since it was small and I got it on sale but still more than $100. I was too upset to try to sell it for a nominal amount so I donated it. I wanted it out of my sight so I didn't get reminded of it.
Sorry to hear about this. Can it be switchedo? She wanted to "exchange" her purse with a pen mark to yours which is brand new?
$60 site credit is a joke. it's not just lost value but time wasted and stress.

I suspected it was switched and said that in my claim. It didn't matter to Posh. They made the decision so quickly that I suspect it is standard operating procedure to give a small amount of Posh credit to appease any complaints. I'm sure they didn't want to antagonize the buyer so didn't even involve them. She is pretty new to Posh so doesn't have a history of scamming there yet. I bet she has scammed other people on other sites.

That's terrible! PM needs to protect the sellers. They should have refunded you the amount of the purse. I'm very leary of buyers that join the same day that buy my items. I will cancel an order if the buyer is rude or demanding. I have blocked a lot of people too. One had the audacity to leave a comment under one of my brand new tags $695 blazers stating she saw I sold this same blazer in a different size at a lower price. First of all, I can sell my items at whatever price I want to sell them. Second, I had sold this same blazer in size 4 to one of my wonderful repeat buyers. I blocked her. I also block anyone that sends me a low ball offer. It's very rude. All of my items are authentic with tags.

You should dispute the offer and insist on the full amount you were owed for the sale. This happened to me once where a buyer returned a new item - just packed it up and mailed it back to me obviously used and with torn packaging. Poshmark gave her a refund and offered me some nominal amount. I said absolutely not, I want the full amount for the sale as I can no longer sell this as new and they gave it to me.

I don't know how to dispute it. I wasn't given the option to accept it. They sent me an email to ask how I felt about their resolution. I thought it was going to be a survey where I could express my disappointment and anger but all it had was a mad face, an unhappy face, etc. Once I clicked on a face, it just said thanks for your feedback.

ETA: did you get actual money or a lousy store credit?

Sorry, I should have clarified that they offered me a site credit and I said no, I want the payment I am owed. I would contact them through Poshmark support in the app and include the order number and request the full amount you are owed for the sale. They shouldn't be able to get away with treating their honest sellers like this over some shady scammer that just joined.

This is just wrong. Both the buyer’s offence and the pathetic response from Poshmark. Makes me :cursing:

Very sorry this happened to you.

next time if you are not pleased with their decision - try to argue. It often works (at least it did for me several times). Insist that you want a full refund and send the bag to them cause it's ruined.

I signed up for a Poshmark account several months ago and most of my purchases have gone sideways. Items never shipped, and in one instance received a blatantly fake bag different from the pics. So different from my experiences on ebay. I've bought clothes and bags on ebay for years. Every once in a while I've encountered a flake seller, but nothing like on Posh. My money has always been refunded eventually on Posh, but so help me I'm never going back to that site.

From the messages I've received from Posh's customer service it appears they're outsourcing their customer support to India. Don't know whether that's good or bad. All the responses I've gotten have seem canned and according to templates, although always polite. I have read on places like Reddit that one can challenge a customer support decision and they will be responsive.

When I received a fake bag I had to go through several layers of their customer support, submitting multiple photos each time with annotations about why I thought the bag was fake. At one point they asked me for more photos beyond the original 5-6 I submitted. They didn't simply rubber-stamp the return. I was glad that they did appear to be regarding the claim thoughtfully and carefully.

sorry you've had bad experiences with Posh...I've bought several things and never had a problem. as far as CS, I've never talked to them but it seems most american companies have their CS outsourced to foreign countries. I have a problem right now with an ebay payment. I've talked to three different people. First one said I had a problem with my bank account; next two said all was fine. finally this morning I get an email from ebay saying there is a problem and I need to enter a new bank account.

I'm a fan of Posh as a seller but as a buyer I think Posh has some work to do. I bought about 10 items in the last month from Posh and Ebay. My ebay items were all delivered quickly and all were fine. For the 4 items I bought on Posh, one $200 item was shipped and accepted quickly - and the other 3 have not been shipped. I got this message for one item ordered on Apr 19 -
We wanted to let you know that your seller just confirmed they plan to ship your Poshmark purchase “XXX" soon. We will email you with your tracking information once your item ships. Please note that it may take a couple extra days after the seller ships for the tracking status to fully update in our system.

for the other 2 Posh orders from Apr 20 + Apr 21, no updates yet.

The other problem - which is related (seller ranking/rating) - is that Posh doesn't seem to have a way to "term out" stale listings which are a pain to weed through for buyers. For example if you search a desirable item - "Vintage Prairie Dress" or "Gunne Sax Dress" or "Eileen Fisher Silk Dress" - a bunch of listings come up for excellent prices and lots of likes - but when you go to pay Posh says "this seller has not been online recently so buy it now is unavailable". This is a stale listing, in some cases 5 years old with an obsolete sale price - these make it harder for buyers to find good items to buy.

Ebay takes care of all this - if a seller doesn't ship something, ebay suspends their account. A little harsh for sellers I agree but better than the Posh situation.

I'm still hoping I get my other 3 items from Posh.

This is a problem with all sites that don't have expiring listings. Now that ebay automatically renews listings, it can happen on ebay too, but it is worse on other sites because they don't have any limit on how many listings a seller can create.
