Does anyone feel like VCA is everywhere now?

I remember about ten years ago my dear childhood friend asking me about a piece I was wearing, and when I told her it was VCA, she said, “Wow, I can’t believe you wear that brand that they used to give away on The Price is Right!” Makes me laugh every time I think about it.
I didn't know they gave it away on The Price is Right. For sure, all Wheel of Fortune contestants received a gift certificate.

I had an event and dinner at the beach this weekend. Lots of Cartier and Hermes, no VCA, even more shockingly no Chanel! A few last events in the city in the next couple of weeks then out east for the season. I’ll keep my eyes peeled…

Speaking of, anyone going to the Water Mill Center benefit late July? VCA is a sponsor so I’m hoping people will show up in VCA. I will, but then I always do …

Ever since this thread started, I swear I’ve noticed more and more pieces in the wild. I’ve also discovered a couple that I suspect are counterfeit. I don’t want to look like everyone else; but if fakes are becoming more prevalent, that’s an even worse scenario. Then I look basic and possibly fake

I remember when I first started to shop for VCA (2015-2016) and I saw a customer at VCA wearing a stack of YG hammered and YGMOP and they looked worn and slightly beat up. I loved the look, but I was clear that she had had these bracelets for a number of years. As much as some recent lovers may say VCA is too common, back in the day people not familiar with VCA could say “what is this weird brand with these flower motifs?” It’s just social media that has increased the proliferation of the brand. The people that have loved it in a vacuum will still love it when people call it basic. And the people that are fair weather friends will jump off the train when they get bored and numb. We will see how long that will take. As long as VCA stays true to itself, I will still be faithful.

I saw lots of lovely pieces, including clovers, Alhambras, and Frivoles at an event last weekend. Spotted someone at dinner tonight with a wg chalcedony 10 with an extender (I assume, otherwise a fake — some distance away). I saw an onyx single motif vintage in the wild the other day but don’t remember where.

I enjoy seeing VCA in the wild, especially like seeing how people wear things differently than I do and really especially enjoy seeing things I’m unlikely to buy but look great on others or of course things I’m unlikely to buy because they’re hard or impossible to get!

Where I live in Orange County, people constantly follow each other. A few years ago I was the only one with a Kelly and people started buying Birkins up and then eventually moved over to the Kelly, so I stopped buying, lol, as I don’t like to have what everyone around me does. I also bought some VCA and was the only one wearing VCA, but over the last year, almost everyone I see at our social gatherings has at least one piece of VCA. I’m hoping they’ll get over it soon and move to another brand lol.

So, where I live, I do see VCA being worn a lot more in the last year or so.

I'd be lying if I didn't feel somewhat the same.

I see a ton of private high school/college (Georgetown, GWU, etc.) girls wear the vintage Alhambra pendant in the DC area. One even has the pave version! It looks like the necklace to have for young women these days.

Wow. Far cry from my era, it was most any Tiffany pendant (or bracelet) that was “the” piece. I remember the open heart, bean, Return to Tiffany…

Yes!!!! Real and fake ones where I live. Especially vintage Alhambra.
But Cartier Love bangles take top spot. They are eeeverywhere!
Its soo boring now everyone is wearing the same thing. Glad I dont have love bangle and my only VCA is a holiday pendant which is still not very common here.
Agree. Loves are everywhere, it seems the Love is a must have for a teenager, and I would wager to say some Loves you see on teenagers are fake. There are also inspired Loves, which are technically not fakes. I know a lady who had an inspired Love made. It has the screw look on the bangle, but that's it. It is a hinged bangle (no screws to remove), and the jeweler did not put any fake Cartier logo or serial inside. It is clearly an inspired piece, and she says so. Yet when I see her wearing it, I can't help but think she is trying to fake people out.

A SA I spoke to recently said there is a surge of Clover bangle requests because ladies are tired of Cartier and feel it's saturated.
I rarely see Clovers, and my guess is they are hard to fake, hence you probably do not see many fake Clovers.
