Does anyone feel like VCA is everywhere now?

Yes , I do think it is everywhere now. They are opening a ton of boutiques! I fell in love with VCA when I would bike to Bergdorf Goodman as a teen and look into windows and saw the VCA boutique windows and would fawn over all the goodies. I kick myself for not buying when Alhambra bracelets were around 1200! I started buying before Instagram was formed and because I truly thought it was beautiful jewelry! If you look back on this forum there were not a lot of us regs.
Most were buying Cartier and Tiffany. Those forums were popping. Tiffany especially!

I used to have people ask me if my jewelry were Stella and Dot, Kate Spade or costume jewelry. I loved that! It was very stealth .
I have a good friend who I met on sm! She used to hate VCA and fell into hype and bought a ton because it was poplar and it seemed like the brand to covet. She is in the process of selling them off as they did not suit her lifestyle. I think the hype will die down once people find other status symbols and the true lovers will still be around.
Similar as Hermes.

It is! People always ask if my Evelyn (which I wear turned around with the H facing me) is a "Coach bag."

Three of my neighbors have pieces. At one party I was the third person wearing VCA! I still love it and think it is a more timeless design. Now I never see Bvgari
As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
I like to think of it as VCA is hot, it's the IT brand! Everyone wants one, and I'm glad to see it.:heart:
It does not bother me a bit when I see someone else wear VCA; I think it's great.

I also love that young ladies want VCA; the brand continues for another hundred years!

I feel in "virtual reality" many high end brands are everywhere...in "actual reality" probably much less so...

On another note...I tend not to look for it and I honestly don't really care if I see one person or 10 people wearing luxury items from brands I also own/like...If I like the style then I will buy it regardless.
I live in a major metropolitan area so see luxury brands everywhere. That being said, I couldn’t care less what other people have and love what I love if I were the only person on the planet wearing it.
I find unboxing cringe-worthy for the very reason that it’s not a good friend that I’m thrilled for but a total stranger who’s just showing off.
Unless desperate for size/measurements, avoid social media’s over-exposure like the plague, then you can genuinely be excited for yourself or a friend.

I think on social media we will see more of what we follow and then it feels like it is everywhere (everywhere being on both social media and in our day to day environment). If one is referring to the world of fashion social media then YES it IS EVERYWHERE. But that doesn't mean VCA is everywhere in the wild. I do think VCA Alhambra MOP has become the new Cartier Love/JUC (what the regular Love was a few years ago). I will also add....and I never really noticed it until I paid attention to pics and IG videos closer....there are a lot of fakes on there. And Im referring to IG accounts you might never expect to see them on. For ex: there is a big big big style account which offers personal shopping (I will not name names but if your on IG you likely either follow or have seen their account on the Explore page) which had posted a pic of a fake wg "VCA" perlee diamond clover. If I didn't own it I likely would not have caught on that it was not a real VCA but upon closer inspection I noted that it was not real at all. It was a diamond motif bangle with motifs only on the top half of the bangle (meaning the underside of the bangle was without motifs). In addition, the spacing between the diamond motifs were ever so slightly off. I couldn't believe it! Who knows if who is in charge of posting (and in some cases reposting) their pics even realize what is authentic and not....
Additionally, there are big accounts which repost "stacks" and "looks" and there have been some which, at first glance, look like authentic and stunning arm candy combinations. Then you zoom in and you can tell the paves are all crooked and uneven (for ex on pave Love bracelets). So keep that in mind too.
What I find really funny are those influencers who think they are showing their viewers something new and trying to come across as "one step above the rest". Then they pull out the most entry level item (sorry I don't mean for it to sound as harsh as it reads but I think you may get the gist of what Im trying to say). In some cases the presentation comes across as trying, in a very subtle way, to distinguish themselves from the 'masses" but it's done in such a tactless way it can only deserve an eye roll.
Yes there are so many fakes of everything and they are everywhere, to the extent that prob only 50% or fewer of what’s seen on social media is real.

I think it depends on where you live and the type of content that you consume or are exposed to. It used to be buy it and then wear it. Now it is buy it, take 4 million pictures and videos, post to different platforms, then wear it. And in some cases, return it.
I will never stop preaching “buy what you love and wear(and afford)” so there will be no remorse.
Just like Hermes, I like VCA for its design, history, class and craftsmanship. I couldn’t care less if it is popular or not.
Love this so much.
Luxury jewelry has been around for ages. What’s different is the Internet and those seeking 15 min of fame.
- Vintage Alhambra - 1968
- Love Bracelet - 1969
- JUC - 1971
- the Internet (1983) & You Tube (2005) The culprits to ignore.
But what you love! (BWYL❤️)

lots of VCA alhambra and cartier at some UES restaurants along with chanel RTW and H bkc, and on the half block between Hermes and brunello on madison

Does anyone here remember a pic of a member doing a yoga pose with her Birkin 35? I swear it was not a figment of my imagination. It was a really nice photo
I wouldn’t feel safe leaving my Birkin in anybody’s locker. Mine would be doing downward dog with me too. LOL

You’re wearing it the right way. The H is intended to face the body for easy access to the bag’s compartments.
It’s always tickle me when people say the Evelyn is too obviously Hermes because that instantly tells me they’re seeing it worn the wrong way.
