Does anyone feel like VCA is everywhere now?

I have actually started noticing more people wearing VCA where I am. It used to be a few non-diamond Love's, not a lot but enough to notice. Now, I notice a lot of single motif vintage pendants (mostly white MOP and onyx). Last week, I saw a lady with a 5-motif onyx bracelet. A few months ago, I saw someone with a 5-motif malachite. Then, a while ago, a lady with 20-motif white MOP. I actually enjoy seeing them on people.

I feel like it's everywhere on social media, but to be honest I haven't seen that many people wearing VCA in person outside of luxury stores! So I feel like in the grand scheme of things this doesn't prevent me from buying things I like from VCA.

Yeah it's all over social media but in real life i haven't seen anyone wear it

Other than tPF friends and at our former VCA store, I have only noticed two people wearing VCA in my city. One was the middle-aged wife of an elderly VIP patient (10 motif WG MOP every time) and my OBGYN (YG MOP VA pendant and YG MOP VA earrings, after the first sighting, she wore them every time I saw her in different combinations). Both of these ladies have a bit of an attitude, so I was inwardly (ridiculously) smiling that I was also wearing VCA, and “better” VCA (pave). It is so rare to see in an everyday work setting here. I was truly shocked with each of these initial sightings.
My OBGYN was one of the reasons I got into VCA. Every time I saw her, which was once a year at least for check ups, she had different VCA bling on. She mostly wore the stone items (prob reserved pave and HJ for soirees with friends). I know she's super successful and has run her clinic for about 25-30. I've been seeing her for 20 years and I swear I've never seen her wear the same item more than once, maybe except the MOP Cosmos earrings.I've always looked fwd to my appts with her cuz I know I'm gonna see some VCA in action! Lol

In the Pacific Northwest I’ve seen maybe one person wearing Alhambra earrings? I get compliments on my pieces and it’s out of genuine amazement since the compliment is sometimes followed by “where did you get them?”

In a similar social media is not real life observation, I rarely see people carrying Hermes or Chanel unless I’m in their boutiques or a nice department store. It’s strange because of course you can’t find anything in stock, so someone must be buying. :panic: I was wearing my completely “common” 19 bag the other day and got so many compliments because people had never seen one.

I have seen VCA in the wild, and usually on members of senior staff. It's definitely a flex to wear $100k around your neck everyday, layered diamond 20 motifs, etc. But it's also an environment where luxury watches are worn by the men and women, usually Directors and Managing Directors. Unless you're independently wealthy or gifted from your parentals, junior staff - VPs and below have to work, earn, and afford.

Where I live it is really common to see VCA on so many people at social gatherings... It's actually seen more than Cartier but is also generally the Alhambra collection. (There are a few obvious fakes as well but for the most part authentic VCA is seen too.)

I commented a lady with the yellow Sapphire BTF butterfly ring yesterday on cruise ship. She then said: we (she and her bubby) are going to Indian restaurant, I think the ring and my outfit fit well with the restaurant decorations.
Don’t see much in my circle of environment, a few girlfriends have some pieces like me but really seen them wear when we meet.

Yes , I do think it is everywhere now. They are opening a ton of boutiques! I fell in love with VCA when I would bike to Bergdorf Goodman as a teen and look into windows and saw the VCA boutique windows and would fawn over all the goodies. I kick myself for not buying when Alhambra bracelets were around 1200! I started buying before Instagram was formed and because I truly thought it was beautiful jewelry! If you look back on this forum there were not a lot of us regs.
Most were buying Cartier and Tiffany. Those forums were popping. Tiffany especially!

I used to have people ask me if my jewelry were Stella and Dot, Kate Spade or costume jewelry. I loved that! It was very stealth .
I have a good friend who I met on sm! She used to hate VCA and fell into hype and bought a ton because it was poplar and it seemed like the brand to covet. She is in the process of selling them off as they did not suit her lifestyle. I think the hype will die down once people find other status symbols and the true lovers will still be around.
Similar as Hermes.

I saw VCA in the wild only twice: once a sweet Alhambra bracelet worn by a lady who walked outside Hermes before me; the second was a fantastic 20-motif seen at the Hermes sale.
Both these ladies were tourists. I'm surprised I'm never seeing any VCA because I work in rue de Sèvres, 10 minutes walking from H, from Bon Marché etc...
