Does anyone feel like VCA is everywhere now?

I live in NorCal and never see VCA. I've only had a few people say they like my jewelry who actually know what it is. Most other people
say, oh I love the clovers or the the flowers (my frivole ring).

What's funny is that my husband knows exactly what it is and when he sees someone on TV wearing it, he asks me babe, is that Van Cleef she's wearing? lol

Before my VCA addiction I didn't know what it was either. I remember seeing the VCA boutique in NM but I never went in because I couldn't afford designer jewelry at the time. Once I got some inheritance VCA was the first thing I bought and it's been a slippery slope since then.
Hi @Rockysmom , since you’re in NorCal do you know when the new boutique is opening in SF? I know someone said Spring. Trying to see when it would be worth going to make a visit.

I live in Boston and I have seen less than 5 people wearing VCA in the past year? Maybe it's because I live near BU & NEU so there're LOTS of undergrads in this area, or maybe it's because I rarely go outside  however the love bracelet is everywhere, have seen it multiple times in my apartment elevator, some going solo and some going love stacked:P
So funny that you mentioned NEU. So when I went to visit for parents weekend, that’s when I saw all the Love bangles make their appearance on the arms of the moms in attendance. I was a total rebel in my VCA ;) And totally unrelated but I was at a Peloton store and the salesperson complemented me on my vca and Ecrou and she asked if it was Pandora. I guess i truly don’t need to worry about being conspicuous with that bangle.

My husband is the one who got me into VCA.

An American relative by marriage who I thought would know about VCA, anyway his mom and sisters do, once asked me if the shape of my Alhambra jewelry was "an Orthodox thing" Lololololol

Yes, some people who do not know the VCA brand see it as a quatrefoil, which was a religious Christian symbol in the Renaissance period. Truth be told, Alhambra is named after the palace fortress in Granada, Spain. Today, VCA calls it a clover as it's good for marketing and sales. However, the origin of the Alhambra name came from its namesake palace fortress in Granada, Spain which used a lot of quatrefoils in its architecture.

Im sad we didnt get a parents weekend this year (not NE, DS1 is at Berklee). Yeah, I don’t see any VCA there either. I do see plenty of it here on LI, pretty much everywhere. Pendants (and Cartier Loves) on the younger girls, and I’ve seen pretty much everything else.

Ack just reminded me, one lady in my Birkin Yoga class today was wearing the Frivole station necklace! I’ve seen plenty of five motifs in the yoga studio (the owner of a different studio never takes her VA MOP pieces off), although a lot more Loves (there’s one lady with so many on her arm it almost looks painful).

OMG…how can anyone do yoga wearing bracelets or necklaces?! And what is Birkin Yoga? Does that include Hermes Salutations?

Have you seen Stephanie Gottlieb’s Love and bangle stacks on her arms? I know she loves jewelry because it’s her job but she must be really fit to also work out in them. They look so heavy it’s like wrist training but with diamonds and gold instead of weight bands lol

I rarely see it IRL!
Me too. I've only seen a few bracelets on SA's. The most VCA I've seen worn is at VCA! In fact, I find it strange that the stores have so little inventory but I rarely see anyone wearing it. As for me, it's part of my daily uniform no matter what.

And no, I don't think it's lost its' luster. While Alhambra is eponymous, that really pertains to just a few pieces in that collection. Let's not forget there are lots of configurations and stone combinations in Alhambra, not to mention the many other collections they offer or have offered and which are now discontinued.

So no, with a few exceptions, I don't think it's all that common.
