Does anyone feel like VCA is everywhere now?

I think on social media we will see more of what we follow and then it feels like it is everywhere (everywhere being on both social media and in our day to day environment). If one is referring to the world of fashion social media then YES it IS EVERYWHERE. But that doesn't mean VCA is everywhere in the wild. I do think VCA Alhambra MOP has become the new Cartier Love/JUC (what the regular Love was a few years ago). I will also add....and I never really noticed it until I paid attention to pics and IG videos closer....there are a lot of fakes on there. And Im referring to IG accounts you might never expect to see them on. For ex: there is a big big big style account which offers personal shopping (I will not name names but if your on IG you likely either follow or have seen their account on the Explore page) which had posted a pic of a fake wg "VCA" perlee diamond clover. If I didn't own it I likely would not have caught on that it was not a real VCA but upon closer inspection I noted that it was not real at all. It was a diamond motif bangle with motifs only on the top half of the bangle (meaning the underside of the bangle was without motifs). In addition, the spacing between the diamond motifs were ever so slightly off. I couldn't believe it! Who knows if who is in charge of posting (and in some cases reposting) their pics even realize what is authentic and not....
Additionally, there are big accounts which repost "stacks" and "looks" and there have been some which, at first glance, look like authentic and stunning arm candy combinations. Then you zoom in and you can tell the paves are all crooked and uneven (for ex on pave Love bracelets). So keep that in mind too.
What I find really funny are those influencers who think they are showing their viewers something new and trying to come across as "one step above the rest". Then they pull out the most entry level item (sorry I don't mean for it to sound as harsh as it reads but I think you may get the gist of what Im trying to say). In some cases the presentation comes across as trying, in a very subtle way, to distinguish themselves from the 'masses" but it's done in such a tactless way it can only deserve an eye roll.

Omg the influencers are the worst. It’s like it’s a status symbol to get an 5 motif that they brag about.

maybe i'm hanging out with the wrong crowds but i don't see it as common as cartier or tiffanys here in toronto.
I agree with this that it is not overly common in Toronto.
In HK it is extremely common to see vca. When I pay attention I mostly see mop Alhambra pieces. A lot of young woman wear mop pendants and 5 motif bracelets. I don’t commonly see non Alhambra pieces and when people compliment my lotus or frivoles pieces they seem to be unaware of the brand.
OG - if you want to be more unique buy outside the Alhambra line.

I live in the Middle East and I'll notice an Alhambra piece here and there in my city (which doesn't have a boutique). There is lots of Cartier. When I'm in one of the larger cities, like Riyadh or Dubai, I do see more VCA jewelry on people out shopping or out dining, and I have a lot of fun spotting it! When I am back home in Canada, I see none. When I was in NYC a few years ago, I felt like WMOP single motif vintage pendants were everywhere (I was guilty of wearing mine, too!).

I think it’s an interesting notion. With the advent of social media, it is inevitable that you will be deluged with “trending” pieces that the influencers have only just discovered and are making a concerted effort to present to their audience. Even if it is rather “samey” - there’s only so much LOVE, JUC, Alhambra stacks that one can see before you start getting bored. I’m glad I’ve taken a step back with social media, so that I’m not somehow fatigued by the homogeneity of these luxury purchases.
On the other hand, seeing them in the wild is always fun for me. Even then, it can warp your mind as to what is normal, popular or not.
I used to live in a very posh neighbourhood, and seeing all the Birkins and Kellys being toted around made me wonder why I didn’t yet have one (at the time) and why it seemed like everyone else could get their mittens on one.
At the end of the day, buy what you like as long as it makes you happy, whether or not everyone has it, or no one else likes it.

Now I’m searching the Personal shopper with the fake clover lol

I am on the West Coast and I rarely see VCA in the wild. I remember discussing VCA with one of my SAs 5 - 7 years ago and I rarely saw VCA back then. If I had bought VCA then, I would have saved so much money compared to today's prices. With any established luxury house, it goes through its ebbs and flows of popularity. My interest wasn't in jewelry at the time so I think it depends on what stage you are in your jewelry journey. Your view of VCA could potentially be different from someone just starting to build their collection.
