Does anyone feel like VCA is everywhere now?

I think with Cartier and their love collection being so mainstream and in your face in the last few decades, it really imprinted in many peoples' heads as a symbol of success or a bucket list item, beyond from its aesthetic value. I have a friend who hit a major milestone in her career recently and she rushed to Cartier to celebrate with a love bracelet
Good on her! I got a VCA set on my last milestone, it was a 20 and 5 motif, and then I placed a special order for 3 motif earrings… I didn’t think it was a symbol of success but almost like collecting art, but I just don’t see that with Cartier at all! I only see it with jewelry and certain designer dresses

I live in a Florida suburb and the local mall has several jewelry stores and kiosks that sell alhambra inspired copies. I once inguired about a 10 motif price, the clerk said that it was $40 for gold-filled and $700 for 14k gold  .

When I go out in the city I may see a single pendant, but its rare. I however do get a lot of looks and compliments on my vca. its become recognizable because of sm.

Forgot about this thread, until I saw that Ashton Hall morning routine meme on social media, and how he has on the VCA onyx bracelet.

And then unexpectedly, while watching an unboxing for the meme collaboration item, Swarovski king bob figurine, that minions character, I also saw another VCA bracelet.

This is exactly how I feel! Now that I’m looking to purchase my first Alhambra piece, I’m worried that I will look “basic” like every other influencer or even possibly fake knowing how many dupes are out there. Does this deter you from buying VCA or do you branch out to other brands instead?
Sometimes I have similar sentiments with luxury goods in general - but then I remind myself, social media isn’t real life.

As much as something is “in your face” on your screen, is it also in your face in the real world?

You should purchase what you love, and what you feel you’d cherish for years to come.

how true.. i am of late, on and off when it comes to purchasing VCA stuff. i went off to try other brands but eventually still came back to my first love.. VCa always have a special place in my heart. i just buy less often now, and only for very specific pieces that i hope i can wear for many years down the road

I fell in love with VCA over a decade ago and still love it and continue to discover pieces that I want. Each is entitled to their own opinion. How can I live a life that is true to me if I let the opinions of other people who are wholly unconnected to me affect my true feelings and actions?

This is my favorite jewelry brand. I love many of their collections and can appreciate the craftsmanship. I don’t care what other people think. I feel amazing wearing the various pieces I have and will continue to purchase more. I don’t judge others and if they want to judge what I wear that is their issue to deal with not mine.

Exactly this. I don’t make other people’s issues mine.

Buy what you like, who cares what others think? At the end of the day it is your money, thus your choice to make. I don’t care whether it’s “basic”, “show off-ish”, “fake”, “financially dumb (aka made of cheapest stones)”, “lazy (in terms of design)” etc. Eventually the trend will die down, but as long as you buy what you genuinely like, you won’t have any regrets down the line. I thoroughly enjoy every VCA piece I have and can easily see myself rocking and adding more pieces in the future.

VCA or any other luxury jewelry isn’t “basic”
Social media is killing me…

Nothing deters me from buying what I like, in the big picture, who cares??
