Does anyone feel like VCA is everywhere now?

I’m guessing in New York? I’m not surprised. Where I live, I get asked if it’s Tory Burch or Kendra Scott and very rarely see people wearing VCA, and if they do it’s always a single pendant
Last year I was also asked if my necklace was Tory Burch. It only happened whenever I would wear two 10-Motif necklaces stacked together.

I just tell them “yeah, it is!” because it’s not like they’re going to search for it later anyway. And I’d rather spare the “oh she bougie” comments

I politely let them know “no it isn’t”, and thankfully, no one followed up by asking me what it was or where it was from.

There was an older teen girl who saw it and said outloud (very loudly :whut:), “oh my God, her Van Cleef necklace!!” as I was walking past her. We don’t have a Van Cleef here, so assuming she spends alot of time on social media as many teens do.
 
I think it’s nice seeing people wear VCA but I can no longer stand a single pendant! I see so many people wear the dupes with the “diamonds” on the border of the clover
Rather than looking at luxury brand jewelry, I've come to appreciate handmade jewelry by local artisans in San Francisco. I can have jewelry that no one else has and support local businesses.
 
Vca is everywhere like Cartier. And I don’t think we can discount seeing it on sm. I mean when you look at these what are you wearing channels practically everyone is wearing the jewelry. Sm is often fantasy and curated but think it’s sometimes reflective of real life. This isn’t an algo situation where you see feeds of the jewlery because you click on that type of thing often. Of course the interviewers are going to choose people who are wearing the obvious brands but what’s up someone’s sleeve isn’t always visible and when they reveal what they’re wearing it’s almost always vca and Cartier. So it seems those who are into luxury brands are wearing a lot of this jewelry.

I am so in love with VCA (love I never experienced about any other jewellery!) but I am fond of the Juste un clou Bangle and ring by Cartier 😙. Cartier jewellery are everywhere though, in Switzerland a lot more than VCA

I can agree with that actually. I really like the juste un clou a lot… But VCA just is so special and makes me feel special, maybe it’s because the market is full of unoriginal jewelry which has weird quality. David Yurman for example which is made in India and charges VCA prices

I think with Cartier and their love collection being so mainstream and in your face in the last few decades, it really imprinted in many peoples' heads as a symbol of success or a bucket list item, beyond from its aesthetic value. I have a friend who hit a major milestone in her career recently and she rushed to Cartier to celebrate with a love bracelet :lol:
