Does anyone feel like VCA is everywhere now?

I think part of the increased visibility of VCA is indeed due to its timelessness. Yes, there is a spike of its presence on social media, but I also think that people are choosing to spend their money on pieces that are timeless and can withstand the vagaries of trend cycles. The Alhambra design has been around for ages, and although social media has catapulted it to the forefront, it's not like it was a new design that has had a concerted marketing push.

The fact is, a timeless piece will be one that is pretty visible, because there will be a lot of people gravitating towards it in any case.

I do, and sadly it makes me less interested in expanding my collection. Anyone else feel like this?
I do notice more on social media and IRL more. Never liked the clover design much before but it’s growing on me, similar to a song which you dislike on first hearing, but you grow to like by being bombarded w/it on the radio. Generally though, I like to wear things that are not popular and feel more unique.

Here is the thing I’ve noticed 🥺. I teach 11th and 12th grade in an area where there isn’t much luxury fashion at all. And ALMOST all the girls in my classes have what must be knock off MOP Alhambra necklaces on. It is a trend, and dupes must be selling somewhere on Amazon or Etsy? There is no way all these high school girls can afford a $3000 necklace in the area I teach.

It’s definitely knock offs, I see so many! However, people might think the same of me because im in my mid 20s and look 17 with my 3 motif earrings and 20 motif haha

Post Covid in the past two years I’ve been feeling this way about a lot of things that were previously less common… Goyard comes to mind. I used to be able to walk into the store and there was never really anyone there and all colors were available and now everything is hard to get. So is VCA.
In some ways, I prefer things are less common but if I love them, why should I care if they are everywhere?
It’s everywhere because it’s timeless. The only thing that annoys me a little bit is it’s now harder to get certain combos/or need more wait time.

To respond to the title of this thread my opinion is “Yes”.

To be quite frank I avoided the Alhambra collection for years because I am bicoastal and everyone in NYC/LA wore some form of Cartier and VanCleef. Then I fell in love with the Frivole collection but that’s everywhere now too. As older family members always lay blame to “the internet” as a cause for all things…I think it’s true.

I say wear what you like when you like. When/if you’re finally fed up looking like everyone else around you find a phenomenal jeweler and go the custom route😉
