According to vintage heirloom the marking on the c's indicate the country of origin where the bag was made. If the marking is on the upper left the bag is made in France. If no marking the bag is made in Italy. Hope this helps. i just bought my first chanel bag off of ebay and did a lot of research before buy. I didn't want to get a fake!! Here's the video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Vp8LXXMZwQ

Assuming Winnie Lee of Vintage Heirloom is correct, we still don't know what each particular symbol means and the significance of the placement of that symbol. M, W, three strokes, filled square, bottom, top, left, right...I love a good mystery and want to crack the code!
I always heard (at least in Vintage 1-4) the mark on the CC was only if it was Made in France; and there is no significance to what the stamp looks like, or where the stamp is placed or which C it is on (it is a makers mark or something and there are lots of variations, as you can see in this thread). Bags made in Italy don't have the mark.

I just called my local boutique and they confirmed there isn't a classic flap that currently has a black lining.

Thank you for your help! I went to that brand off store again today and they said all their items are authentic and are verified by their experiences authenticators..if I bought a bag from then and is considered fake, they will refund me in full..they said they do have buyers who buy bags for them from Europe..but when I ask if they have a receipt for that item, they say they don't collect receipts..
Sigh I still don't know should I buy that bag..

Just a little update:
I bought the bag from brandoff already, and I called the customer service of chanel HK they said they do have some black caviar classic flaps with black/burgundy interior. And they do have stamping of the CC lock for this year's collection, as they do a lock of style and variation of the CC lock this year!

So it is a special Paris-Salzburg bag? They haven't made it to San Francisco in a classic. I bought one of the others in the collection last week. Post some pics so we can see her.

The inside look!

Btw r u suppose to present the receipt when bringing the bag for repair? The SA in HK Chanel insist they need the receipt and when I said it is gifted by my friend they asked for my friends name...I was just wondering if I wanna bring my bag to Chanel for repair will they accept it? As I bought it from a reseller..

I just saw your post in the AT thread and although your pictures show a good looking stamp, hologram and auth card. This serial number just doesn't "match" this particular bag. Like other people have commented, the black lining and marking on the CC belong to the classic flaps produced before 2010.
If you can return this bag, I highly recommend you do so, something is just not right about this bag. If you keep the bag, and later on you will need some repair at Chanel, you will probably have problem doing so, the same goes if you decide to sell this later.
I don't know how much you got the bag for, but it's not worth it IMO.

I paid HKD33000 for the bag, basically slightly less than the retail price lolz I regret it now and brandoff won't accept any returns unless I can prove the bag is not real..they said they will pay me 70% of the price if I trade in the bag :'( this is such an impulsive purchase and I learnt a lesson that I should be patient and buy it in the boutique😔😔

I would try fighting a return. Etincelerauthentications or Authenticate4u might be able to help you, try contacting them. They might not state that the bag isn't authentic, but can probably state that the serial number doesn't match this particular bag for the reasons mentioned here. You just bought it because you trusted their reputation and you don't feel comfortable about your purchase so just want to get your money back so you could buy another one from them. I wouldn't give up on this. In the worst case scenario, I would take their 70% and let them know I won't be a return customer.

The serial number starting with 202xxxxx is last year's number, I.e. year 2014, not this year's collection.

I have a 14B bag, which came out around June/July 2014 with serial number 2015xxxx; and a 15C bag which came out around Nov/Dec 2014 has a serial Number starting with 205xxxxx.
