B30 and B35 really do have a different aesthetic dear... If you love the size 35 on you, that's what really matters.
My first B was a 35. I bought it bc that was the most popular size in the US at that time and I really didn't know what I was doing. I just wanted a Birkin.
After owning the bag and meeting other Birkin lovers... I got to experience the other sizes.
I personally do not need that large sized bag and the weight was too much for me to handle.
I also was very clumsy with a B35 and K35. Always bumping into things and just awkward.
B30 or K28 suits my needs perfectly and now that is all I own.
So no matter what anyone else says or wears... I go with what works for me.
You should buy what works for you and what YOU LOVE xoxooxoxo

I completely agree that the look is different when you increase/decrease in size. I reviewed the comparison shots and modelling shots of the B30 vs B35 before I made the B30 purchase but it's not the same as actually handling and comparing the bags. I wish I could just walk in a store and try one or ring a friend who owns one but unfortunately the former is a figment of my imagination and the later doesn't exist either, so thank God for TPF! At least I am getting some guidance here.

I know the feeling. I made my decision based on pics from tpf and my SA.
Unfortunately, it was not right for me. That's the downside of H. Many times we make costly decisions about size, leather and color without seeing, touching or trying. I know the feeling and although I feel like I have a lot of experience with H, I still make decisions blindly at times. I do however, stick to sizes I know will work for my lifestyle regardless of anything else. I will not buy a bag based on color if the size is not right. But there are so many factors that make us jump on things that aren't 100% right. We tend to be afraid we will never get another offer, etc.... but that's another topic. There are plenty of pfers who loooove their 35s and are not fond of the smaller sizes. It really is whatever works for u. The up side to your situation is that if u were to decide to let your 30 go, it would likely sell quickly bc that size is highly sought after right now and u could probably get a 35 more easily....

I think a 35 is essential. I have both a 30 and 35. I find the 30 is fine for warm months, and the 35 great for chillier weather where a shawl or sweater may end up taking up space in the bag, (as well as gloves). It's also great for travel. And I really think the 35 doesn't look all that big, anyway, especially if you close the straps, which is a look I really like (and it's still east to get into the bag). Hope this helps!

I prefer the 35, although I am small - to me it's more tote-sized, and the Birkin is made to be a tote. 30s are pretty but I need more room than that on a daily basis.

Totally agreed! B35 definitely holds so much!!! And i think 35 looks better proportional wise.
And especially when i travel with little ones B30 is not big enough. I think its good to have both IMO

I had the 30 first and dreamed of getting the larger size....now I've been carrying both for a number of years and honestly, I really prefer the 30 - unless I'm traveling and/or carry my iPad I really don't need it as much. Soon I will hopefully get my 25 - then I'll finally see which size suits me best!

I always bump into things with my Kelly 35. I thought it was just me!

I have only had my 35 for a short time, probably not long enough to comment. It is definitely heavier than my 30. I switch hands all of the time. I am not bothered by the weight as much as I thought I would be though. My first offer was for a 35, which I turned down because I thought it was too heavy. The 35 stayed on my mind, calling my name and I knew I had to try to get one. I love my 30. I really love it. I am inclined to say I prefer a 30 but I havent had my 35 long enough. I think you need both!

My most used Birkins are my 30's as the size and weight suit my body frame. For work/travel, I have a grizzly B40 and a B35 Flag (Barenia/canvas), because I could not carry the weight of these sizes in full leather.
