Do you notice less people carrying LV?

I live in Midwest America but also in a college town: Ann Arbor, MI. I see about a dozen of the lulu belt bags daily and on anyone from younger college girls (and guys), guys muy age are using them as a safe way to carry a purse, and it’s also being carried by everyone’s mom and grandma. When I was in college (early 2000s), I saw a ton of designer bags (Louis, Gucci, and Prada were very big around UofM) but now I really don’t see any. The younger generations around me don’t seem to care for the bags like my generation did.
That is funny because I live in Ann Arbor as well and see Louis all the time…everywhere! A lot of Gucci and YSL as well…very popular here in all age groups.

Was out and about all day on Friday.. went out to lunch with my husband and spotted the first and only LV of the day. Just as I had mentioned before, on a woman who was 40+

I'm surprised by the people here who have said they "didn't know" what a Lululemon belt bag was.. Perhaps since you didn't know what they were, you weren't looking for them while out? You wouldn't have even known what you were looking at even if you had seen them.

They're everywhere here in CA and almost all of the fashion influencers I follow on Instagram (who are all over the US) push them hard over the holidays (esp that fleece design!), I'm just genuinely baffled by people who say they've never heard of them. I'm guessing you must not be a Lululemon athletic wear customer at all then, so that might be a reason?

I live in Berlin-Kreuzberg which is a little bit of an up and coming neighborhood, people don't really carry in your face designer bags here. You see them but mostly on tourists. It really depends on the area though, there's all kind of brands floating around and it depends from 'borough to 'borough which brands are popular. Personally I just love the canvas and wear it a lot..

I needed to google lululemon too. I’m in Germany and maybe it’s not that known or popular like in the US? I see general belt bags here and there but ignore them tbh, I personally don’t like them.

Lol That might explain it , I didn't even know Lulu was so popular amongst/being pushed by many influencers, and I follow a lot. I think it depends on whT part of the world and where the influencers are based. Alo is also huge in US and big in Canada but not as known in other markets yet.

We have a lot of Lulu stores too but the bags just aren't as well known in other countries. I didn't buy the Lulu bag as I found it too small for my liking and I already have another nylon crossbody that I love and is carefree. Also there are other brands like Kipling, LeSportsac or even Tumi that are more popular in Asia for this sort of bag, I feel. (Don't know if Tumi does messenger belt bag but similar soft fabric etc)

Taking it back to LV- when we lived in a beach town, saw less LV, never saw any By the Pool by the beach in real life   it was a very carefree vibe and people would use beach friendly bags usually from surf brands or market stalls' canvas totes. The mall though was where the lux bags came out and we'd see more LV and other brands including H, Gucci etc.

I've seen a lot more Dior Book totes lately but personally find it very bulky and don't like the large logo, would never buy it! Don't hate me  :drinks:

Yes..I think lulu stuff are way overprice for what they are. Also, work out wear stays in the gym here. We hardly see people wearing athleisure style here. It’s mostly, office wear and or casual wear.
